In this episode, I reveal why your intuition has never left you; you've simply learned to doubt it. I guide you through 5 powerful practices to help you reconnect with your inner knowing, recognize intuitive messages, and build deeper trust in yourself. You'll discover that intuition isn't something reserved for a gifted few, but a natural ability you can strengthen every day.

Give me 11 minutes, and I’ll help you become dangerously intuitive.

I know that might sound like a bold claim.

But here’s the truth.

You’re not lacking intuition.

You’ve simply been taught to second-guess what you’ve already known.

Think about the nudge you felt before the phone rang.

The unexplainable feeling you got while talking to someone.

The instant read you had on a room.

Or the thought that turned out to be right, but you dismissed because you didn’t have proof.

Those moments aren’t coincidences.

They’re your intuition speaking.

The problem isn’t that you don’t have intuition.

It’s that you’ve stopped trusting it.

You don’t have to be born gifted.

You don’t have to call yourself psychic.

And you certainly don’t have to be someone “special.”

Intuition is a natural ability that everyone has.

Like any skill, it becomes stronger the more you practice it.

The key is to learn to recognize it rather than override it.

In this episode, I’ll walk you through five (5) simple practices, including meditations for grounding, that will help you reconnect with your intuition, trust yourself more deeply, and strengthen the guidance that’s been within you all along.

🌱 Step 1: Ground Yourself Before You Listen

Grounding is the foundation of intuitive awareness.

Without it, it’s almost impossible to tell the difference between your own inner knowing and the energy or opinions of everyone around you.

We live in an incredibly noisy world.

Our minds are constantly planning, analyzing, worrying, and processing information.

Our environments are filled with distractions.

When your energetic field is full of static, your intuition becomes much harder to recognize.

One of my favorite meditations for grounding is also one of the simplest.

Take a slow breath in through your nose.

Then gently exhale through your mouth.

You can keep your eyes open or close them if that feels better.

Imagine your feet sinking deep into the earth.

With every inhale, receive fresh energy.

With every exhale, release tension and mental clutter.

Take another slow, deep breath.

Allow yourself to feel even more rooted and supported.

Each breath helps you settle deeper into your own energy.

This simple practice can be repeated throughout the day whenever you need clarity.

The more grounded you become, the easier it is to recognize what belongs to you and what doesn’t.

Grounding is one of the most overlooked parts of how to develop intuition, even though everything else builds from it.

🧘‍♀️ Step 2: Quiet the Mind So You Can Hear Your Intuition

Intuition is incredibly subtle.

It doesn’t usually shout.

It whispers.

Meanwhile, the mind is busy planning, strategizing, overthinking, and trying to solve every possible problem.

The quieter your mind becomes, the easier it is to recognize intuitive guidance.

One of the most effective ways to do this is through meditations for grounding.

Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated.

It can be as simple as taking ten conscious breaths.

It can be visualizing peaceful light.

It can be repeating a mantra.

It can be sitting quietly while listening to music without lyrics.

Movement can also become meditation.

Walking, dancing, yoga, and Pilates can all help bring you back into the present moment.

If your mind starts racing, that’s completely normal.

Simply notice it.

Take another breath.

Invite your mind to settle into your heart.

Each time your thoughts wander, gently bring your awareness back.

There is no need for judgment.

Every return strengthens your ability to hear your intuition.

💫 Step 3: Trust Your First Impression

Your first intuitive impression is often the most accurate.

The second-guessing usually comes afterward.

Many people immediately wonder whether they’re imagining things or making a mistake.

That’s completely normal.

Like any muscle, intuition becomes stronger through practice.

Instead of forcing yourself to blindly believe every impression, begin collecting evidence.

Regular meditations for grounding make it easier to notice these impressions in the first place.

Write your intuitive nudges in a journal.

Notice recurring patterns.

Follow up when you can.

I remember one day when my intuition kept telling me not to go to my favorite coffee shop.

I really wanted to go anyway.

Instead of ignoring the feeling, I simply called them first.

They told me they had available seating, but their Wi-Fi wasn’t working.

I had planned to spend the afternoon working there.

That simple phone call confirmed what my intuition had already told me.

You don’t have to rely on blind faith.

You can test your impressions – this is really how you test clairvoyance and your other intuitive senses over time.

Every piece of evidence builds confidence.

Over time, trusting your intuition becomes much easier because you’ve experienced it working again and again, which is ultimately how to develop intuition you can rely on.

⚖️ Step 4: Learn the Difference Between Intuition and Fear

Not every strong feeling is intuition.

Sometimes it’s fear.

Sometimes it’s wishful thinking.

Fear tends to be loud.

It feels urgent.

It repeats itself over and over while imagining worst-case scenarios.

Wishful thinking usually tells you exactly what you want to hear.

Intuition feels completely different.

It is calm.

It is clear.

It is direct.

Even when the message is serious, the energy behind it remains peaceful.

During my pregnancy, I experienced a very clear intuitive knowing that I needed to become my own strongest advocate.

The situation itself was extremely serious.

My pregnancy was incredibly difficult.

Yet the intuitive message never came with panic.

It simply told me what I needed to do.

The fear came afterward.

That’s one of the biggest differences I’ve learned.

Intuition delivers information.

Fear creates stories around it.

Returning to meditations for grounding in the moment can help you settle enough to feel that difference clearly.

The next time you receive guidance, ask yourself one simple question.

Did this message arrive calmly and clearly?

Or did my mind immediately begin creating fearful stories?

That question alone can help you recognize the difference.

👁️ Step 5: Meet Your Clairs and Practice Them Daily

The final step is understanding how your intuition naturally communicates.

Being psychic isn’t reserved for a select few.

Everyone has intuitive abilities.

Your intuition communicates through what are often called the clairs, or intuitive senses, and understanding them is a key part of how to develop intuition.

Clairvoyance is clear seeing.

You may receive symbols, images, visions, or quick flashes in your mind’s eye.

Clairaudience is clear hearing.

You might hear words, phrases, sounds, or inner guidance.

Clairsentience is clear feeling.

You may notice physical sensations, emotions, or a strong feeling in your body.

Claircognizance is clear knowing.

This is one of my favorite intuitive gifts.

You don’t see it.

You don’t hear it.

You don’t feel it.

You simply know.

Many people overlook claircognizance because it feels so natural.

Have you ever had someone share their life story with you, and suddenly you knew exactly what they needed to hear?

That quiet wisdom often comes through claircognizance.

There are also intuitive senses connected to smell and taste, although they are less common.

Every person has access to all of these intuitive abilities.

Most people simply have one or two that naturally stand out.

Ask yourself which one feels most familiar.

Do you usually see?

Hear?

Feel?

Or simply know?

Throughout your day, begin paying attention.

Notice when an image appears.

Notice when you suddenly know something.

Notice when you hear an inner message.

Notice when you feel something in your body.

Don’t turn it into a test.

Simply become curious.

Ask yourself what your intuition may be communicating.

The more attention you give your intuitive language, the stronger it becomes, which is really how to develop intuition that lasts.

Remember these 5 simple steps.

Ground yourself with meditations for grounding.

Quiet your mind.

Trust your first impression.

Learn the difference between intuition and fear.

Practice your clairs every single day.

You didn’t suddenly become intuitive.

You’ve always been intuitive.

Now it’s simply time to recognize it and trust it again.

Don’t just listen to these ideas.

Practice them.

The more you do, the more natural your intuition will become.

Full transcription of the episode:

Give me 11 minutes of your time and I will make you dangerously psychic. And yes, I already know how that sounds, so give me a second while I back up. It’s not that you’re unpsychic, you’ve just been taught to talk yourself out of what you’ve already noticed. That nudge before the phone call, that feeling you get when you’re talking to someone, that read on the room that’s unexplainable, that thought that turned out to be true but you overwrote it because you didn’t have proof. All of that is your intuition that you already have.

You just stopped trusting it. Here’s the thing: you don’t have to be gifted or psychic or special. It’s just a skill that you have to practice using and stop overriding it. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. So in this video, I’m going to share 5 simple moves to turn back on your intuition.

Groundy. Quieting the mind, catching your first impression, noticing the difference between your intuition and your fear, and knowing how it actually shows up for you. Do these, and by the end of the 11 minutes, you’ll be trusting yourself more than you have in a very long time. Move 1: Ground yourself first so you can tell the difference between your signal and static. Grounding is So crucial and important.

We live in a very noisy world. Our mind is very noisy, our environment is very noisy, and it’s really, really hard to tell apart your intuition from someone else’s energy if you have your whole field clogged up with noise, static, and interference. One simple grounding practice that I highly recommend to my clients is just simply taking a breath. Breathe in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth. You can have your eyes open or close.

If you want to close your eyes right now, you can just simply close your eyes. Imagine your feet are sinking into the earth and you just receive a breath, taking a nice deep breath in, cleansing breath out.

Another nice deep breath in, cleansing breath out.

And when you’re ready, you can open your eyes. Each and every breath you take, you want to imagine you’re sinking and grounding more and more and more into the earth. This grounding practice can be done throughout the day so that you are clearer what your energy is versus someone else’s energy. Move to quiet the mind so you can actually hear your intuition. Intuition is subtle, like so, so subtle, and our mind is busy.

It’s planning, it’s strategizing, it’s overanalyzing, it’s stressed. And the more you get the mind into the heart, the more you will actually understand when intuition is coming through. And one of the best ways to quiet the mind is through meditation. Meditation can be done with a visualization, just taking 10 simple breaths, which also counts as grounding as well. Meditation can also be done with a mantra or quietly or listening to music without words.

Meditation can also be done through movement like dance. Yoga, Pilates, walking. You might go, but Amy, my mind is still racing. All you do is take a breath and tell the mind to sit in the heart with you. The more you notice your mind going off and wandering, you just say, come on back, we’re resetting, and you reset with the breath.

Move 3: Catch the first impression before the second-guessing starts. Your first impression is often the most accurate. And you might be going, Amy, but I question it, and how do I know it’s true? And what if I make a mistake? Here’s the thing, just like any muscle, to strengthen it, we can allow ourselves to just track the impressions without going on blind faith.

You can track it in a journal, you can write it down, you can make a phone call. One time I had my intuition tell me not to go to a coffee shop. I really wanted to go to the coffee shop, and my intuition kept telling me no, no, no, no, no, no. So Instead of just going on blind faith, I called the coffee shop. I called and they said, hey, yes, we have seating.

However, we don’t have Wi-Fi. I was going there to work. I needed Wi-Fi. You don’t have to go on blind faith. You can follow up.

The more you catch the first impression, give yourself permission to accept the first impression, track it, and over time you will build trust. Evidence builds trust. But you have to give yourself permission to first accept it as intuition. Hey friend, if you would like to awaken your intuition, also meet your ancestors and do a past life regression, I would love to connect with you in our free Awaken Your Intuition Masterclass, where we take 90 minutes and we play inside of the Akashic Records and we talk about intuition in an in-depth, free, training. You can go to theamyrobeson.com/masterclass and join our free training today.

I do it live and I can’t wait to see you there. Move 4: Tell your intuition apart from fear and wishful thinking. Not every strong feeling or thought is intuition. Fear is usually loud, urgent, and repetitive. Wishful thinking tends to give us the answer we want, while intuition feels calm and direct.

While I was pregnant, I had a very clear knowing with my intuition that I had to become my best advocate in order to change my birthing experience. And while the matter was very, very serious and I was having a very traumatic pregnancy, my knowing was very calm, it was very direct. And there was no urgency, even though the matter was urgent. And I knew that I could take action and advocate for myself, even though the matter was serious. That’s one of the ways I’ve learned to not only recognize intuition versus fear, but actually trust it, because intuition is always going to come through in a very calm matter-of-fact way.

The message may be very serious, but the way it’s delivered is never in a panic. The panic, the overthinking, the worst-case scenario often comes later with the mental body. So the next time your intuition delivers a message to you, I want you to ask yourself, did it come in in a calm, clear, and direct way, or am I building fear around it? Intuition usually gives you the message. Fear usually adds story.

Move 5: Meet your clairs and give them daily reps. The final piece is understanding how your intuition communicates with you daily. Being psychic isn’t having one mysterious gift that only some people have. Your intuition always comes through your clairs, and everyone has them. Your clairs are your senses, and here are the clairs.

Clairvoyance means you see clearly. This may be a visual, an image, a split-second visual that crosses, a sign, a symbol you’re going to see with your mind’s eye. Clairaudience is clear hearing. You hear a sound, a high pitch, words, a single word, sentences, but you have clear hearing of your intuition coming through with that. And then clairsentience is clear feeling.

You have a feeling in your belly, you have a pain in your shoulder, you have a sense of something there. And then my favorite is claircognizant, which is clear knowing. You’re not going to see it, you’re not going to feel it, you’re not going to hear it, you just know it. And this is often mistaken because it comes so naturally for some people that they don’t even realize they’re using it. If you’ve ever had a stranger or a family member or a friend or a colleague ever come up to you and start telling you their life story, and then you have advice for them that you wouldn’t naturally have for yourself, that advice that you just gave them is clairknowing.

It’s so important to trust your clairknowing. It’s so important to trust all of your clairs. You also have a clair for smelling and taste, but that’s not as usual as these 4 clairs that I just mentioned to you. While you have access to all of these clairs, let me say that again. You have access to all of these clairs.

One or two clairs are going to be stronger than the rest. It’s just because they come naturally to you, the one or two. I want you to think of which one sounds the most familiar to you. I I see, I feel, I know, I sense. Do you see it?

Do you hear it? Do you feel it? Do you know it? Do you taste it? Do you smell it?

And then what I want you to do is I want you to pay attention to that clair throughout the day. There’s no pressure, like no pressure. I want you to just notice when you feel something or notice when you hear something or notice when you know something or notice when you have a flash, an image that pops into your mind. And I don’t want you to make it a test. I want you to just Acknowledge it like, oh, I’m noticing this.

And then be curious. What is your intuition telling you through that clair? So now you have a simple process. Ground, quiet the mind, notice the first impression, tell apart the difference between your intuition and your fear, and play with your clairs daily. You didn’t suddenly become psychic.

You have always been intuitive. You just have to recognize it and trust it again. I don’t want you to watch this video and forget it. I want you to practice these moves. And if you want to go deeper, I have another video for you on strengthening your intuition inside of the Akashic Records.

I’ll leave it right here for you. Also, if you found this helpful, please share it with a friend and make sure you like and subscribe, and I’ll see you in the next one. Bye!
