In this deeply personal episode, I share the emotional experience of learning that my childhood elementary school was destroyed in a devastating 5-alarm fire. What surprised me most wasn’t just the loss of the building, but the buried grief, trauma, and memories that...
What if the thing you hate most about your life… is actually who you used to be?
Karmic cycles play an interesting role in our lives.
And as we move through our soul’s journey, me, you, all of us, there’s often a karmic balance we carry.
A karmic debt we’re here to understand, not fear.
Because karma isn’t all bad.
It’s part of our evolution.
The people who trigger you.
The situations that frustrate you.
The patterns you keep attracting, often shaped by deeper karmic cycles.
These may all be connected to your karma.
Not for you to judge…
But to experience and evolve through.
🧩 Surrounded by Addiction
I’ve been around addicts my entire life.
And for so long, I didn’t understand why.
It drove me bonkers.
Because on one hand, I have deep compassion.
My stepdad was a severe alcoholic, and we walked on eggshells growing up.
So I can see addiction as a disease.
I can see the trauma.
But on the other hand… It’s not fair.
It takes a toll on a family.
And as an adult, I’ve continued to feel that compassion.
But recently, watching people I love spiral…
I’m tired.
Really tired.
🔮 Discovering the Karmic Root
So I went deeper.
I looked into the Akashic Records.
Trying to understand this pattern.
Trying to understand this pattern and the karmic cycles behind it.
And I found a past life.
In that lifetime, I made a wrong turn influenced by past life karma.
I became an addict.
And I took advantage of people.
In that life, my parents disowned me.
And it wasn’t until I was older that I turned things around.
I found a teacher.
I chose a different path.
So it’s never too late to shift.
🧬 Karma, Compassion, and Boundaries
When I saw that lifetime, everything clicked.
This is my karma.
This is why I feel such deep compassion.
Because I understand.
The pain.
The patterns.
The struggle.
But here’s the key…
I can have compassion and still be setting healthy boundaries with family.
I will not enable that behavior.
Because it doesn’t help them.
And it doesn’t honor me.
So now I’m learning to stand in my power.
And choose myself too, without staying tied to past life karma.
🔁 Why You Keep Attracting the Same Patterns
Everything you experience is part of your evolution.
The triggers.
The patterns that won’t go away.
There’s something deeper there, often rooted in repeating life patterns.
It could be karmic.
And I know… sometimes you’re just over it.
But you have the right to evolve.
And to recognize when the lesson is complete.
Because sometimes the debt is paid…
But you’re still holding the frequency.
So the pattern continues, and those karmic cycles stay active.
🎯 Your Reaction Creates Your Reality
Your reaction determines your reality.
Every time.
So even if the karmic debt is paid…
If you respond the same way…
You stay in the cycle.
But this life gives you the chance to choose differently.
And that’s the real work.
For me, that looks like strong boundaries.
And not participating in unhealthy dynamics.
🌊 Karma, Choice, and Conscious Living
Karma isn’t good or bad.
It just is.
But your intention matters.
Your awareness matters.
Your growth matters.
You can’t harm and “make up for it” later.
That’s not how it works.
Your “karma bank” is always shifting.
Always responding to who you’re becoming.
❤️ Giving Back from the Heart
If you feel called to give back… do it from love.
Not an obligation.
Not guilt.
It can be simple.
Helping your family.
Feeding ducks.
Planting trees.
Small acts matter.
🚗 Stepping Into Your Power
When you realize life is happening for you…
Not to you…
Everything shifts.
You begin to see…
I am responsible for my reality.
And it changes based on how I respond.
That’s your power.
🔓 Breaking the Karmic Cycle
Here are the four steps.
Awareness.
Ownership.
Compassion.
And choice.
Notice your triggers.
Take responsibility.
Release judgment.
And choose differently.
That’s how you break the cycle.
So I’ll leave you with this…
What karmic cycle are you ready to break?
With love and blessings,

What if the thing you hate the most about your life is actually who you used to be?
Karma plays an interesting role in our lives, and oftentimes when we, including you, including me, when we journey through our soul’s journey, there’s a karmic debt and a karmic balance we hold. Karma is not all bad, but karma plays a pivotal role in our soul’s evolution. And so the people that trigger you The situations you’re annoyed by, the things that you continue to attract can be related to your karma that your soul is here not to judge, but to experience evolution from. I have been around addicts my entire life. I just don’t understand why I’ve been around so many addicts my entire life.
Like, it drives me bonkers. And I have lots of compassion for addicts, My stepdad was a severe alcoholic and we walked on eggshells my entire life growing up. While one way I can hold this perspective of this is a disease and I can have compassion because this is undealt with trauma, and then on the other hand, it’s not fair. It takes a toll on a family. It takes a toll on the lineage.
It takes a toll on the human side of things. As an adult, I’ve always had compassion towards people that have been addicts And recently I’ve been seeing different people that I love going through addiction spirals, and I’m just— I’m tired. I’m really, really tired. And what I have come to find out is, as I’m doing my soul searching and looking inside of the Akash and trying to understand why I’m attracting these types of people, I came across a life— my life— as someone that was very into spirituality in this lifetime. I ended up making a wrong turn in this previous life.
And in that wrong turn in the previous life, I became an addict. Not only did I become an addict, I took advantage of people. ‘Cause if you’ve ever been around an addict, they will manipulate and they will take advantage of people. In my previous life, I was an addict, I took advantage of people, my parents disowned me, and eventually in this lifetime I turned my life around and I found a teacher and things like that when I was very old. So you’re never too late to turn the corner and make different decisions.
And when I discovered this life, I was like, this, this is my karma. This is my deep understanding of why I feel so compassionate towards addicts because I just have this like deep down, I understand, I understand this is hard. I understand that it’s hard to break free from addiction, but you can break free from addiction. And I understand the manipulation. I understand all of that.
And I can have boundaries with people. And this is why. I put myself in this situation in this lifetime to make those wrongs right. Everything that you encounter in this lifetime has to do with something for your evolution. And some of the things that annoy you, some of the things that trigger you, some of the things that you’re just like, why, why do I keep attracting this?
Why am I surrounded by this? And it could be your karmic debt. And so you might be going, Amy, I just— I’m so over it, like I don’t want to do it. And this is where understanding that you have the right to fulfill your debt and you have the right to evolve, and most importantly, you have the right to understand when the debt has been paid and when it’s time to move past that. Because sometimes we pay our karmic debt off and then we are complete with it, but we still have that frequency code of that attraction in our life where we keep continuing to attract the same situations and the same problems.
And this is where your job is to understand your reaction to any given situation determines your reality. If you are playing the victim of, let’s say, you keep attracting more debt and maybe you were super rich in a previous lifetime and you never gave back and you hoarded all your money— I’m just making something up, okay guys? We can have all sorts of different situations where maybe you were selfish, maybe you hurt someone. Maybe you took advantage of people. Maybe you did the wrong thing, or you spoke up too much and your words were really harsh.
Or maybe you didn’t understand how to be compassionate or how to give love. There’s so many situations that the universe puts you in so that you have the opportunity to evolve. And this is where your karmic debt, you can pay it off, but you still have to learn how to have a different reaction. And so for me right now, what I have been dealing with, with addicts in my life is I have been putting up very strong boundaries, very, very, very clear. I will not enable this behavior in any way, shape, or form because that does not help the other person.
And so when it comes to, like, for me, having that understanding, having that awareness, I still have to play the role of advocating for myself. And to what degree am I going to advocate for the other person, for the other people, whatever whatever that case may be. When it comes to karma, you still play the role of how you’re reacting when the debt is paid. But you might be going, I feel like I have to pay this debt until the very end. That may be true, that may not be true.
The main thing is, is we all get to evolve no matter what. And once the lesson is learned, once the debt is paid, you are golden. And you might be going, but what if the debt doesn’t get paid? This is where good karma comes in. This is where giving back, donating, sharing your time, sharing resources, helping others.
These are all good things that you can do to assist in offsetting some of the negative things, the negative karma. And I’m trying to make this very clear, like karma is not good or bad, karma is just karma. But for us, because we have polarity, it’s easier to understand, okay, if I do something negative, there’s going to be a price to pay for that. If I do something positive, that outweighs some of the negative things you’ve done in the past. And it’s not about being perfect, and it’s not about going, hey, I’m gonna go do this bad thing, but I’m gonna go make up for that bad thing I’m about to go do by doing a good thing later that day.
And it doesn’t work like that either, because what I’m talking about in terms of karma— be a good person. Yes, you might have shortcomings. Yes, you might make mistakes. But if you’re intentionally making a mistake and saying that you’re going to outweigh it doing something else, that’s not good. And I feel like— and this is just me channeling this— the guardian Indians are saying that when you do something like that intentionally, it will be tenfold sent back to you.
And so you don’t want that either. What you want to do is understand when you’re conscious of certain behaviors that, okay, this is the right path, this is the right thing to do. It might not be the right thing to do, but in the moment it felt like the right thing to do. And you might get insight later on, you might react out of trauma and understand later on, and it could be years later, that that was not the right way to react, that was an inappropriate way to react. And so this is how offset these things as we evolve as well.
And it’s such a powerful thing. So your karma bank is constantly ebbing and flowing as you evolve as a soul, and your essence is attracting the situations, the experiences, the people in your life that are going to assist you in evolving. And that is not all butterflies and rainbows. So if you want to do good deeds to help offset your lower vibrational karma, your debt of sort, do it from a place of love. Do it from a place of curiosity.
And not only that, you can do things that aren’t like the normal things. Like, if you are not a person that likes to volunteer but you have the tendency to help your family members out, that’s perfect. That’s doing a good thing. Maybe you like to go and feed the ducks in the park. That’s giving back towards service.
Maybe you want to go plant some trees. That’s giving back. There are so many different things that we can do to give back, and I want to encourage you to understand this. And The more that you recognize that these things are not happening to you, they’re happening for you to evolve, the more you’re going to get clear on, I’m responsible for my experience, I am responsible for my reality, and my reality is shifting and changing based on my response. And this is where you get to be put into the driver’s seat.
This is where you get to stand in your power, and this is where you get an opportunity to really stay in compassion and curiosity versus judgment. Here are the 4 steps to breaking the karmic cycle. 1, awareness. Notice what is triggering you. 2, ownership.
You have to take ownership of your reaction. You have to take ownership of the trigger itself and understanding that every trigger is an opportunity to heal. 3 is compassion. Compassion is really important because when we move out of judgment, we change our frequency and we have the ability to heal from the cycle of the karma and from the cycle of reaction as well. Curiosity assists in releasing the judgment.
That brings you even back to the awareness piece of an ownership piece as well. And then number 4, you have a choice on how you’re going to respond. So you’re going to choose how you’re going to respond. Are you going to respond in the way you’ve always responded? Are you going to respond in a negative way?
Are you going to respond in a low vibrational rate? Or are you going to choose a response that allows you to stay in curiosity, allows you to take ownership, and allows you to move out of the karmic cycle? This is such a powerful thing to have awareness around, my friend. So let me know, what karmic cycle are you breaking? I’d love to hear from you.
