In this deeply personal episode, I share the emotional experience of learning that my childhood elementary school was destroyed in a devastating 5-alarm fire. What surprised me most wasn’t just the loss of the building, but the buried grief, trauma, and memories that...
Have you ever felt stuck?
Maybe frozen, blocked, or just completely over it.
I know I have.
The thing is, when we feel this way, it’s important not to force our way forward.
Because if we do, we risk ending up in the wrong space, out of alignment with what we truly want.
We might settle for something that doesn’t serve us, or push so hard that we end up even more burnt out, tired, or confused – making the path to overcoming burnout even harder.
🌬️ 1. Soften and Stabilize
I’m going to share five simple ways to help you get unstuck and move forward with ease and grace.
The first way to get unstuck is to soften and stabilize.
Take a deep breath and invite it fully into your body.
With every breath, softening naturally arises, and your nervous system begins to reset.
When you stabilize through breath, you’re no longer acting from panic, instability, or deregulation—you’re responding from ease.
This is where answers to your prayers and confusion begin to arrive.
As you soften and stabilize, ask yourself: What season am I in?
It might be a season of patience, of building, of laying a foundation, or of rerouting.
Knowing your season gives you clarity on how to get unstuck and move forward with alignment.
Acceptance of the season you’re in brings clarity and peace.
For me, I’m in a season of parenthood.
Even though I’d love to travel monthly and grow my business in new ways, right now my season is caring for my family and nurturing my daughter.
Saying no to certain things is saying yes to her, which helps me stabilize and release fear of missing out.
When you name your season, pressure drops, clarity rises, and guidance flows more easily.
🪨 2. Shrink the Ask
Sometimes the next step feels so overwhelming that it keeps us frozen.
When you’re unsure how to get unstuck, the trick is to make things smaller.
Instead of taking on the giant leap, shrink the ask into a single, manageable step.
Give yourself just 10 minutes—write one email, do a bit of research, or clean one small space.
That little “pebble step” removes the weight of overwhelm and gets you moving again.
Momentum builds on itself—one step turns into another, and then another.
But you must first shrink the ask so momentum has space to grow.
🔄 3. The C-F-C-C-F Shift
This method is about shifting out of negative thoughts and into higher frequencies quickly.
C-F-C-C-F means: Catch the thought, Feel the feeling, Cancel the thought, Choose a new thought, Feel the new feeling.
First, pause and notice the thought you’re having—what is running through your mind right now?
Catch it and ask, How does this thought make me feel?
Allow yourself to feel that feeling for 60–90 seconds.
Then cancel the thought and release it.
Next, choose a new thought and invite in the feeling attached to it.
This overrides the old frequency with a new, aligned one.
It’s a simple yet powerful tool that shows you how to get unstuck by changing your energy/
It regulates your nervous system and lifts your energy instantly.
You can do this anytime—whether stuck, anxious, angry, or sad.
By catching, canceling, and choosing again, you return to clarity and flow, a practice that naturally supports finding alignment in life.
❓ 4. Ask Kinder Questions
When we’re stuck, we often ask ourselves unhelpful questions like, “Why am I stuck?” or “Why do I feel like this?”
Instead, shift into kinder questions that open space and create movement.
Try asking, “What is one thing I can do right now to move closer to my goal?”
Or ask, “What would it feel like to be at peace in this moment?”—and then give yourself permission to feel it.
Sometimes the question can even be silly, like, “Why do I love peanut butter sandwiches?” just to make yourself laugh and shift your frequency.
Kinder or playful questions release blinders and invite new perspectives.
This gentle self-inquiry is also a powerful tool for overcoming burnout, because it replaces harsh self-talk with curiosity and compassion.
You might also ask questions that affirm your worthiness, such as, “Why am I so worthy of love?” or “Why am I so worthy of joy?”
Your brain will look for proof, and you’ll begin to shift into alignment with that truth.
✨ 5. Borrow Resonance
The fifth way to get unstuck is to borrow resonance from a positive memory.
Remember a time when you felt loved, capable, or deeply at peace.
Bring that memory into your heart and body and let the feelings rise within you.
It could be a childhood moment, a joyful trip with friends, a celebration, or even a simple time you felt fully in flow.
You can’t hold onto negativity while embodying that memory of positivity.
When you anchor yourself in that resonance, you naturally remember how to get unstuck without pushing or forcing.
This practice is also deeply supportive in overcoming burnout, because reconnecting with positive states restores your energy and shifts your focus back to what nourishes you.
By borrowing resonance, you instantly shift your frequency into a state of flow.
Do this any time of day—morning, evening, or whenever you need a reset.
Pairing it with simple emotional regulation techniques, such as breathwork or grounding, amplifies its power and keeps you steady even in challenging times.
Each of these five practices can be used at any moment.
The more you notice your thoughts, words, and actions, the more you’ll recognize when you’re contributing to feeling stuck.
Instead of staying in confusion or negativity, choose a proactive shift.
Catch the thought, feel the feeling, cancel, and replace it with something higher.
You are so capable of moving forward with grace.
Remember, monumental action steps often keep us stuck.
Small, steady steps create the momentum that carries you forward.
You are amazing, and you deserve to live in harmony with the aligned path meant for you.
With love and blessings,

Hey, Amy Robeson here. Thank you for joining me on this podcast where we talk about spirituality, the awakening process, mental health, and so much more. Join me weekly to get your weekly dose of spirituality and medicine. I look forward to seeing you on the inside. Hello, my friend. Have you ever felt stuck? Maybe frozen, maybe you blocked, maybe just downright over it. I know I have. The thing is, is when we do feel this way, it’s really important not to try to force your way into something else, because if you do, you might end up in the wrong space or not in alignment with what you’re truly wanting, and maybe you’re settling for something else, or you’re just forcing your way through something which you just end up feeling more burnt out or more tired, or more stuck, or more confused. I’m going to over five ways you can get unstuck and move forward with ease and grace. So let’s jump in. The first way to get unstuck is to soften and stabilize. Take a breath. Breathe into your body. This is where the stabilization will come in with the breath. And this is where the softening automatically comes in, because when you invite the breath in, you soften into your being.
And when you soften into your being, you can receive answers to your prayers, answers to your confusion. But you first have to soften and stabilize. And stabilize comes with allowing the nervous system to reset. When you’re stable and the nervous system reset, you’re not doing things from a place of panic. You’re not doing things from a place of instability. You’re not doing things from a place of deregulation, meaning your nervous system is not regulated, and you’ll do it from a place of ease, which you’ll receive more when you’re doing it from that place. When you’re softening and stabilizing, you can also ask yourself what season you’re in. So maybe you’re in the season of learning patience. Maybe you’re in the season of building. Maybe you’re in the season of laying a foundation. Maybe you’re in the season of rerouting. Whatever season you’re in, be it transition, be it foundational, be it entry level, whatever season you’re in, there has to come some of acceptance to that’s the season I’m in. For me, I’m in the season of Parenthood right now. I would love to go and travel every single month and do all sorts of different things for my business, but that’s not the season I’m in.
And I have to remind myself that the season I’m in is taking care of myself, my family, and my daughter, and relationship building with her. And if I’m gone too much, I’m not capable and able to do that. So saying no to things is saying yes to my daughter, and that helps me stabilize and not have this fear that I’m missing out on something, which is a really big deal. This also allows pressure to drop and clarity to rise because you’re naming the season that you’re in and the pressure goes away, and then answers can come in from there. The The second way to get unstuck is to shrink your ask. Sometimes we put way too much pressure on ourselves because we feel that the next step is gigantic and it feels overwhelming and we can’t do it. And so shrink the ask. Take one tiny pebble step towards your goals. So that might mean I’m going to just spend 10 minutes and I’m going to write one email. I’m going to take 10 minutes and I’m going to do some research. I’m going to take 10 minutes, clean up my kitchen. I’m going to set a Timer on it.
Take the overwhelm out and break down one pebble, one little breadcrumb towards the goal. And what is that step? And can you do that in 10 minutes? If you shrink it down, you shrink the ask down from this big overwhelming task, I promise you, you will just have the pressure melt off of you because you because you’re not giving in to overwhelm and you’re saying yes to, Okay, I’m going to get in momentum, because in momentum, you will build more momentum and more momentum and more momentum. But you have to be in momentum in order to do that, and so shrink the ask. Number three, this is probably one of my favorite ones because this is about shifting out of the frequency of the thought and into a new frequency. Number three is C-F-C-C-F shift. And it is a method I teach that will move you out of negative thoughts, negative vibration, and into a state of positivity, feeling better very, very quickly. So what is CFCCF? It is catch your thought. Notice what thought you are feeling, notice what you’re thinking, and when you catch it, so if you’re in this state of overwhelm, if you’re feeling stuck, if you’re feeling frozen, if you’re feeling foggy, if you’re feeling confused.
Pause and notice, what is the thought I’m thinking right now? What are my thoughts? Notice what those thoughts are, and then catch the thought, and then ask yourself, how does that thought make me feel? Maybe it makes you feel mad, maybe Maybe it makes you feel stuck. Maybe it makes you feel blocked. Maybe it makes you feel angry. Maybe it makes you feel sad or frustrated, whatever it is. Then you’re going to actually feel the feeling of that thought, which is catch the thought, feel the feeling. When you feel the feeling, you’re only feeling it for 60 to 90 seconds. It doesn’t have to be very long. I promise you, you’re going to get to cancel the thought after you feel the feeling. So feel the feeling, breathe it, allow it to move through your whole body, and then cancel it. Cancel the thought. Cancel the thought and then choose another feeling and then feel that feeling. Because when you feel that feeling, you’re replacing it and you’re overriding the old thought with a new thought and a feeling that matches the new thought, which then helps one regulate the nervous system, shifts you out of the old frequency into the new frequency.
And I promise you, you’re going to feel a lot better. This is like such a massive quick shift. So if you’re ever feeling anxious, it doesn’t even matter if you’re feeling stuck or not. If you’re feeling anxious, you’re feeling angry, you’re feeling sad, you’re feeling whatever. And those thoughts are not serving you. Feel the feelings attached to the thought. But you got to catch the thought first. Cancel them, choose a different thought, and then feel the feeling attached to that thought. And you, my friend, are going to be so happy you did this because this is a powerful, powerful shift that you can make at any point in time throughout your day. And it’s a quick exercise as well. The fourth way to get unstuck is to ask a kinder question. So oftentimes, we will ask ourselves, Why am I stuck? Why am I feeling like this? Why, why, why, why, why, And so we can shift the question to something that is kinder, that allows you to have that momentum you’re looking for. And that could be, what is something I can do right now that will get me one step closer to my goal?
Another question might be, instead of, why do I feel stuck or why do I feel confused right now? What would it feel like to feel at peace in this moment? And then give yourself permission to actually feel that peace. A kinder question can anything that allows you to shift out of the frequency. The question can be as simple as, Why do I love peanut butter sandwiches? And you might just laugh. It doesn’t have to be related to the problem. You can make them, just make sure it’s kinder, but you can also just make it silly. Make the question silly so that you’re shifting your frequency. Sometimes when we dwell on a problem too long, we get blinders that doesn’t allow us to see 360 degrees around us. And this is why I love the Akashic record so much, because they always offer that alternative. And so when you have blinders on and you’re just asking the same questions over and over and over again, you’re never going to get a different result. You’re always going to have the same result, the same frequency match. Instead, move into a kinder question, move into a sillier question, move away from those questions into something that allows you to get into your body and into your heart that will allow you to move into a kinder question.
Whatever the questions that you’re asking that are not serving you, ask something different and be bold and asking what that is. And one of the things can be, why am I so worthy of X? Maybe worthy of my daughter’s love or worthy of living in in this great house. No matter what, you’re recognizing that you are worthy, even if you don’t feel like it, choose something that allows you to recognize that you are worthy. So maybe you’re drinking out of an awesome thermos. Maybe you have a really cool cup that you really love. Why am I so worthy to have this cup? And it sounds silly, but what you’re doing is you’re shifting your brain because your brain wants to to make that true, wants to prove you right. And so start shifting to kinder questions, even if you have to trick yourself into them. But find something fun because you are worthy and you deserve to have amazing things and you deserve to live your best life. And the fifth way is to borrow resonance. This is really simple. All you have to do is remember a time where you were loved, where you felt capable, you felt worthy.
You want to just move into a better memory where you felt like your life was in flow. And then when you borrow that resonance, you’re going to bring all of the emotions from that memory into your body and being. Here’s the cool part. You can’t stay in negativity at the same time you’re feeling and moving into a memory of positivity. It’s not possible. And so sit and remember, and it could be a childhood It can be a great memory of you with your favorite stuffed animal, or it can be a great memory of you and your friends taking a trip somewhere, or just a really funny time that you had with your family or your friends, or maybe when you when you got a promotion or when you felt really much in flow and you’re crushing all your goals. Whatever that memory is, I want you to feel the feelings attached to that memory. Remember the memory because this is going to allow you to borrow that resonance from that space and time and bring it into this space and time, shifting your frequency so that you can get unstuck. And it’s a really cool thing.
And you can do this throughout the day. You can do this at the beginning of the day, at the end of the day, in the middle of the day. Any of these ways that I shared with you today, you can do them at any point in time. It’s up to you to notice how you are participating in your day. So let me say that slightly different. The more you pay attention to your thoughts, the more you pay attention to the words that you are saying, the deeds and the actions you are taking, the more you’ll recognize, oh, I’m contributing to this behavior of feeling stuck. I’m contributing to this chapter that I’m in, and I don’t want to be in this chapter anymore. Instead of saying, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t want this, I don’t like this, I don’t whatever, or I’m confused, I’m stuck, I’m this, I’m blocked, whatever. You You need to move from those spaces, from that frequency, and into a proactive way of approaching your energy. And when you’re proactive about it, meaning you’re paying attention to your thoughts, Oh, I’m noticing I’m being really negative right now. Let me shift out of that, or, I’m having this negative thought that’s not serving my project right now.
Let me notice what that thought is. Feel the feeling attached to that thought. Cancel the thought. Choose a different thought that’s higher vibrational. Feel the feeling to that thought. You are capable of so much. You’re so, so capable of so much. I want to invite you to use these five ways so that you can live your best life. Because that’s what this is all about. This is you being in harmony with the aligned path that you’re meant to be on. And harmony is such an amazing thing to experience. And remember, monumental action steps can keep you stuck when you can choose something smaller that will allow you to have the momentum you need to keep going forward. You, my friend, are amazing. And I hope you’ve enjoyed this episode. Please make sure you like and subscribe and share it with a friend, and I will see you in the next one. Bye.
