Do you ever feel like there’s never enough time?

Maybe you’re caught up stressing about the past or worrying about the future.

I know I’ve been there.

My relationship with time has shifted a lot over the years, and it’s something I don’t take lightly, because how we experience time shapes how we experience life.

In the past, I constantly felt like I was running out of time.

I was so focused on what was next that I had to consciously give myself permission to slow down and be present.

So in this episode, we’re diving into five spiritual ways to shift your relationship with time.

💜 Reclaiming the Present Moment

Let’s talk about the first way to shift your relationship with time.

Now, I know you’ve heard this before—“Be present,” “Get in the moment.”

But what does that actually mean?

And more importantly, how do you do it?

For me, it starts with slowing down and giving myself permission to be here.

I’ll take a deep breath.

I might touch my nose, place a hand on my body, and say my name and the date out loud.

It sounds simple, but it brings me back—because a part of me loves to live in the future.

I’m always thinking ahead, sometimes spiraling with worry or stress about what’s coming next.

But the truth is, I can’t control the past.

And while I can’t fully control the future, I can influence how I feel about it—right now.

So when I reclaim the present moment, I breathe.

I name where I am.

I get back into my body.

It’s about getting out of your head and into your heart.

You can do that through touch, breathwork, mindfulness, or just acknowledging the here and now.

Maybe it’s a walk.

Maybe it’s meditation.

Maybe it’s simply journaling out the noisy thoughts so you can make space to be here.

Part of how to trust the universe starts right here-in learning to trust the present moment.

✨ Understanding Divine Timing

The second way to shift your relationship with time: Trust that everything works on divine time.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had clients reach out, ready to take a course or make a big move—but something’s just not lining up.

Either they’re overwhelmed with life, or they’re feeling impatient because something they really want isn’t happening fast enough.

And the truth is—it’s just not time yet.

Everything unfolds on divine timing.

When we truly understand that, it changes everything.

Nothing is working against you.

Everything is working for you, even if it doesn’t look like it in the moment.

Impatience often comes from the ego—or sometimes the mental body—telling us we’re behind, or that we should’ve done more by now.

But here’s the reminder: You are not running out of time.

And so, don’t get caught in FOMO.

I know that’s easier said than done, especially with how our society is set up.

We’re constantly shown what everyone else is doing, achieving, and launching.

But it’s so important to stay grounded in your own path, in your own body, and in your soul’s knowing that everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to.

One thing I’ve learned—and I truly love this—is that I’m often grateful things didn’t happen when my impatience wanted them to.

Because the truth is, I wasn’t ready.

I wasn’t prepared.

And when things finally did align, they were always ten times better than I could’ve planned.

Because I was ready for it.

I had grown into it.

Divine timing isn’t just about waiting—it’s about transformation.

Sometimes, we have to go through specific challenges or life lessons to be initiated into that next phase.

That’s how we expand.

That’s how we step into deeper levels of embodiment.

And one more thing: divine timing isn’t linear.

Spirit doesn’t operate on a timeline the way we do.

So if you find yourself thinking, “I’ve been doing this for so long—why hasn’t it happened yet?”—just know, that’s the mind talking.

That’s the ego.

Spirit doesn’t rush.

Spirit doesn’t check clocks.

Spirit isn’t looking at the clock—Spirit is looking at energy.

It’s all about the energetics of your frequency and your alignment energy.

Whatever you’re trying to manifest, it’s not just about wanting it—it’s about becoming an energetic match for it.

And that often means letting go of the past.

The past can hold frequency codes that linger in your energy signature and affect how and when things unfold.

So when you lean into divine timing, you’re also leaning into healing, clearing, and aligning.

Actually, I feel really guided to share this with you…

I love doing what I call “clearing old-time doors.”

It’s something I work with personally—shifting timelines and intentionally stepping into divine timing.

Let me know—would you like that?

I’ve been thinking about creating a special activation around this timeline shift.

Something to help you realign with divine timing.

If that’s something you’d be into, comment on the YouTube video for this podcast or reach out to us at support@theamyrobeson.com.

It’s something I do for myself, maybe once a year.

Sometimes the ego starts pulling me out of sync—I get busy, overdo it, try to force everything to happen at once—and I start feeling like I’m out of time.

That’s when I know it’s time to pause, realign, and shift back into divine timing.

So yeah—let me know if that’s something you’d want.

I’d love to create it for you.

❤️‍🩹 Healing Time-Based Wounds

The third way to shift your relationship with time: Heal time-based wounds.

You know those thoughts—“I should have done that,” or “I should have done that by now.”

As soon as the word “should” enters the sentence, it brings pressure.

“Should” creates an illusion that you’re behind, that you’re late, that you’ve missed something.

But here’s the truth: yes, maybe you could have done that thing, but you didn’t.

And there are usually real, valid reasons why.

Sometimes life was simply too full.

Other times, you were navigating through layers of fear or limiting beliefs that you may not have even been fully conscious of.

There might have been wounds—old emotional patterns—that needed healing before you could truly step up and do the thing.

So if you haven’t done the thing, ask yourself why.

Not from a place of judgment, but from a place of curiosity.

Because beating yourself up doesn’t help.

Judgment keeps you stuck.

But curiosity?

Curiosity opens the door to insight and healing.

I do this in my own practice, especially when working in the Akashic Records.

If I’ve been wanting something and it’s not showing up, I ask: Why isn’t this happening?

What am I consciously—or subconsciously—doing to prevent it?

What old wound or belief might still be holding me back?

That kind of gentle inquiry always moves me forward.

It’s softer on the nervous system and way more effective at getting to the root of what’s really going on.

So instead of saying “I should have,” ask, “What’s behind this?”

Swap out pressure for curiosity.

Healing your relationship with time requires this kind of approach—and it’s powerful.

Because when you allow yourself to heal those old wounds, outdated patterns, inherited beliefs, you actually fold time.

Things begin to move faster because you’re no longer looping through the same blocks.

You’re doing the work, and that work creates momentum.

🕜 Rituals and Relationship with Time

The fourth way to shift your relationship with time: Create rituals that bend time.

Spiritual practices like meditation, journaling, working with crystals, and connecting with the Akashic Records—all of these create spaciousness between you and the clock.

I’ve had so many clients tell me, “It felt like I was in the Records for five minutes,” and it turns out, they were in there for an hour.

I always remind my students: If you’ve got somewhere to be, set a timer—because time melts when you’re in flow.

When I create rituals—especially morning rituals—I notice a massive shift in how my entire day unfolds.

Instead of racing the clock, I begin with presence, breath, and intention.

My morning becomes spacious.

It’s contemplative.

And most importantly, it’s embodied.

This is how you bend time.

You bend time by shifting out of old frequencies—like rushing, panic, or fear—and into higher frequencies of peace, presence, and spiritual connection.

When you do this, you move timelines.

You literally connect to a new energetic field, one that’s not ruled by the same urgency or pressure.

And here’s something to reflect on: when you’re constantly worried about making a mistake, that worry creates a frequency, and that frequency can keep you in patterns where things keep going wrong.

But when you shift into trust and ritual, you elevate the frequency, and the timeline shifts with it.

When you’re in the frequency of fear and mistakes, the universe will keep bringing you more to make.

But when you shift to the belief that everything works on divine time, you free yourself from guilt and shame.

Every mistake becomes an opportunity to grow.

Everything is perfectly imperfect, and that’s something to love.

This shift changes how the universe shows up for you.

It changes your thoughts, your reactions, and your timeline.

You move into a higher-level timeline that gets you to your goals faster, with less struggle and fewer challenges.

It’s pretty magical when you think about it.

🤝 Embracing Time as an Ally

The fifth way? Ask time to be your ally—your BFF.

Everything is energy, including time.

You can actually connect with the consciousness of time, just like you would with any other energy.

Ask for time to support you.

Ask it to slow down or speed up when you need it.

For example, I use a technique in the Akashic Records where I’ll ask time to freeze or slow down if I need more space to be creative or get things done.

It’s amazing how much work I can accomplish when I’m not feeling the societal pressure of rushing.

When you connect with time as a friend, she supports you, not works against you.

Time isn’t your enemy.

You’re a spiritual being having a human experience, and time is just a construct we’ve created to help us navigate our lives.

Everything is happening simultaneously, all the time.

And we can have a beautiful, friendly relationship over time.

I like to think of time as feminine energy—organic, spacious, and intuitive—rather than rigid, masculine energy.

I talk to time like she’s a friend: “Hey, I need some space. Help me create more room today.”

When I remember to do this, it’s amazing to see how things shift.

It’s a reminder that time isn’t something we’re at odds with—it’s something we can bend, just like any other energy.

Of course, sometimes I forget these tools and get caught up in the rush.

But when I remember, the shift in my perception, my relationship with time, and even with myself, is always profound.

Remember, you can shift your relationship with time by aligning with its sacred rhythm.

You have the power to expand time and collapse it.

This is a powerful gift because you are a powerful being, my friend.

Hey, Amy Robeson here. Thank you for joining me on this podcast where we talk about spirituality, the awakening process, mental health, and so much more. Join me weekly to get your weekly dose of spirituality and medicine. I look forward to seeing you on the inside. Hello, and welcome to today’s episode. I’m so excited you are here. Do you ever worry about time, or maybe you feel like you don’t have enough time, or maybe you’re stressed about the past, or worried about the future. I know I have. My relationship with time has really transformed over time. And this is not something that I take lightly because I think our relationship with time is the construct of our experiences. And for me, time, I feel like I never have enough time. And so I have to give myself… Hold on. For me, in the past, I felt like I never had enough time. And so I’d have to give myself permission because I was too worried about the the future, I would have to give myself permission to be in the present moment. And so today, what we’re going to be talking about is five spiritual ways to shift your relationship with time.

So let’s talk about the first way. The first way is to reclaim the present moment. And I know you’ve heard this, be present, right? Get in the moment. What the heck does that actually mean? And how do you do it? So for me, it’s slowing down, giving myself permission to slow down, take a deep breath. I will touch my nose, I will touch my body, and I will state my name and the date. This is super helpful because part of my being wants to live in the future, way in the future. I’m thinking about things and I can spiral, or I might be worried about something that’s coming up or I’m stressed, and it’s like, give myself permission to be in the present moment. I can’t control what’s happened in the past. I can control what happens in the future, the way that I feel about the future in the present moment. And so if I give myself permission to be in the present, I just breathe. I state the date. I get into my body. So it’s really important to get out of your head into your heart. And you can do that by physically touching your body, stating your name, stating the date, and just breathing or having some mindfulness practice.

That could be meditation, that could be going for a walk. But getting in the present moment and being in the present moment is very, very helpful. And if you find that you’re just worrying and the thoughts won’t stop, give yourself permission to journal whatever it is that you’re overly thinking about so that you can get in the present moment and you can brain dump it onto the pages or onto a recording so that you can feel better about being in the present moment itself. Number two is everything works on divine time. Timing. I will have clients that will reach out to me that are wanting to take the course, but they just have too much going on or they’re impatient about something that they’re really wanting to happen and it’s just not happening. And it’s because it’s not the time. Everything works on divine time. Everything is working for you, not against you. And when we recognize that, and when we recognize that the ego is impatient or the mind is impatient, because sometimes it can be the mental body, sometimes it can be the ego, you are not running out of time. Everything works on divine time.

And so don’t get FOMO. Sometimes that can be hard, especially the way our society is set up. But it’s really important to sit in your trust within your body, within your soul, that everything will work out just the way it’s supposed to. And I love this because I am so grateful that things don’t happen when my impatience wants them to happen because I’m not prepared for it. I’m not ready for it. And it is always 10 times better when it happens when I am prepared for it, when I’m ready for it. And divine timing can be looked at as a spiritual transformation as well, because sometimes we have to go through certain challenges in order to be initiated into that next thing or to step into that next level of embodiment. So we have to have that spiritual transformation in order for that to happen. So we have to be okay with divine timing. It’s also important that we don’t look at things linearly because when you’re sitting there worrying about, well, I’ve been doing this for this long, well, it doesn’t matter. That’s not how spirit looks at things. And spirit is not on time.

Spirit is looking at the energetics of your frequency and have you met the energetic match for that thing that you are trying to manifest. And And have you let go of the past that’s holding frequency codes within your frequency signature, your energy signature that keeps these things in motion. And so you got to look at the divine timing. You have to trust and lean into the divine timing. I do this… I’m being guided to share this, so I’m just going to share this. I love clearing out old time doors. Let me know. Guys, reach out to me, comment on the YouTube video. Would you guys like that? I have this really cool timeline shift where we shift into divine timing. Let me know. Maybe I’ll come up. Maybe I’ll make that a special activation for you guys. Let me know. Comment on the YouTube video or reach out to support@theamyrobeson.com. Let me know if you’d like to do a divine timing timeline shift where we’re working on divine time. I’ll do this for myself quite often, not quite often, Not every day, but once a year, I usually will shift into divine timing.

Sometimes the ego gets out of the divine timing, and so I’ll just reshift back into it. So if there’s any little thing that I’m holding on to that I’m not unaware of or some unconscious or conscious patterns, I’m aware I’ll shift back in because for me, I’m a mad woman sometimes, and I want to do everything, and I want to do it now, and then I just don’t have enough time. And so there’s this shift that has to happen sometimes when I get out of balance, and I love doing that one. So let me know. Let me know if that’s something you want. Number three is healing time-based wounds. I should have done that. I should have done that by now. When you add should, that equals a lot of pressure. When you add, I should have done this by now, this creates illusion and pressure. The thing is, is, yeah, you could have done it, but you didn’t. And sometimes there’s many reasons and good reasons why you didn’t. And then there’s things that sometimes you didn’t do because there is unconscious fears or old wounds that require require healing before you step up to the plate to do that very thing.

And so if you haven’t done it, the question is why, instead of beating yourself up over it, the judgment doesn’t help. The curiosity and the why always helps. And for me, using the Akashic records, I’m like, Hey, I’ve been wanting this, but why isn’t it happening? What am I subconsciously doing to prevent this from happening? Or what am I consciously or subconsciously doing that’s preventing this from happening? Getting curious is always going to be helpful, and healing past wounds and healing your relationship with time can be very, very helpful. But the question always is, is I instead of I should have. Curiosity over judgment is way easier on the nervous system and way more approachable to getting the answer on why it’s not happening and the problem to solve it as well. And so heal, heal, heal. Give yourself permission to heal those wounds because it is powerful, it’s transformational, and it speeds up-time because you’re folding time because you’re healing those wounds, those patterns, those beliefs, because you are taking the time to do the work. And doing the work is key here when it comes to shifting your relationship with time. Number four is creating rituals to bend time.

Spiritual practices like meditation, playing in your journal, writing, playing with crystals, playing in the records, doing different spiritual practices create spaciousness between you and the clock. I often will have clients that will tell me, I I felt like I was in the records, the Akashic records for five minutes. It was an hour. And I always tell my students, If you have to be somewhere by a certain time, make sure you set a Timer just because time just melts away when you are in the flow of things. And for me, when I create rituals, specifically morning rituals, my day is set off with a really specific tone. It’s not set with rushing, racing the clock. It’s set with deep contemplation, space, breath, embodiment. And it’s so beautiful. And when you’re doing spiritual practices, you are bending time. The reason why you’re bending time is because you’re shifting out of old frequency patterns and into higher frequency and higher levels of consciousness. And so you’re bending time. You’re going from this timeline that creates this connection with this frequency to a higher level connection with a higher level of frequency. I’ll say that slightly different. When you are constantly worried about making a mistake that creates a particular frequency that’s going to challenge you always making mistakes.

It’s going to keep bringing mistakes to you to make. Versus when you are in a frequency of everything works on divine time. I am free to make mistakes without guilt and shame because every mistake I make, I will grow from it. Everything is perfectly imperfect, and I love it. And so this is giving you permission to make mistakes and not feel guilty or ashamed about it, and that everything is perfectly working out no matter what, even if a mistake is made. It’s a completely different approach and a completely different feeling which changes the experience the universe provides to you, which is freaking magical if you think about it. You change your thoughts, you change your reactions, you change timelines, you fold time. You’re no longer in this timeline. You’re in a much higher level timeline that gets you to your goals much faster without doing as much work, without having as many challenges. And it’s really cool if you think about it. Number five, ask time to be your BFF or your ally. Here’s the thing. Everything is energy. Just like time is. And you can talk to the consciousness of our time, the way our society views time.

And you can ask time to be your friend. You can ask time to support you. You can ask time to slow down, to speed up for you, because sometimes we want things to go slower. Sometimes we want it to go faster. I do this freeze bending technique inside the Akashic Records with time, from time to time, pun intended. And I’ll talk to the consciousness of time. And when I want things to go slower, maybe I’m working on a project and I want a lot more spaciousness with time, I will ask it to slow down or to freeze for me. And it’s amazing how much work I can get done or the creativity level because I’m I’m not having this weird pressure from societal norms, and I’m connecting with time in such a way that she is my friend, and she is here to support me. She’s not here to work against me. And it’s such an amazing cool feeling when you feel like time is your friend versus your enemy or versus this thing that’s just constantly going and you have no connection to it because you have connection to it. You are a spiritual being having a human experience And time is just a construct that we design so that we can make things work a little better.

But everything is happening all the time. Everything is simultaneously happening. And so we can be friend time. We can live in this world as a human and still bend it and have a beautiful relationship with it. And you can just talk to time. I like to think of time as a her, not a hem. There’s something really beautiful in organic because masculine energy is more structured and more rigid, where feminine energy is more organic and more spacious and more intuitive. And so I like to think of time as a feminine energy, and I’ll just talk to her like, Hey, I need some space. Help me create some space. Be my friend and help me with this today. And it’s such a cool thing to see and to witness because when I forget to do that, I’m like, I got to get this stuff done. And then when I remember to do it, because that’s the thing. It’s like, I’m human and I’ll forget things, and I’ll forget these tools in my toolbox. And when I remember to do it, it’s always really cool to see and to witness the shift in perception and the shift in relationship and the shift in relationship with myself and with time itself as well.

Remember, you can shift your relationship with with time, with a shift into a sacred rhythm with it. You have the ability to expand time. You have the ability to collapse time. And it’s such a powerful thing because you are a powerful being, my friend. So I hope you enjoyed today’s episode.
