Episode 212: Soul Chats with Dr. Eve Agee

I’m thrilled to bring you this episode of Soul Chat with a very special guest—my dear friend, Dr. Eve Agee.

Eve and I have been friends for over ten years, and I absolutely love her.

She’s a best-selling author and a powerhouse in the coaching industry, with over 25 years of experience.

She’s also the founder of Transform Coaching Academy, where she helps aspiring coaches step into their power.

In this conversation, we dive into so many fascinating topics—from the coaching industry and shamanism to the age of Aquarius and what 2025 has in store for us.

If you’re someone who loves helping people or is curious about becoming a coach, you won’t want to miss this episode.

As we began our conversation, I greeted Eve with excitement.

It was wonderful to have her on Soul Chat, especially at the start of a brand-new year.

Wishing each other a Happy New Year, we both felt the energy of new beginnings.

I couldn’t wait to dive into our discussion.

I know Eve’s journey well, but for those who may be meeting her for the first time, I asked her to share how she got started on her spiritual path and what led her into the world of coaching.

Her story is one of deep transformation, wisdom, and experience, and I knew it would inspire so many of our listeners.

🙏 Living in West Africa & Discovering Energy Healing

When I asked Eve how she first started on her spiritual path, she shared a fascinating journey that began 37 years ago when she moved to West Africa at just 20 years old.

Feeling a deep, unexplainable pull, she found herself in Togo, a small country in West Africa.

This was long before healing work and energy practices were widely recognized in the U.S.

While living there, she encountered an entire world of healers—women deeply connected to energy work, ancestral wisdom, and spiritual healing.

It was in Togo that she was first introduced to concepts like the divine feminine and working with goddesses, sparking her lifelong interest in alternative healing and spiritual growth.

A few years later, while pursuing her PhD in Anthropology, she delved even deeper into studying women healers and different perspectives on health and personal transformation.

Her academic journey led her to apprentice one-on-one with a shaman for several years, immersing herself in ancient healing traditions.

By the time she completed her PhD, she felt a strong calling to bring this knowledge back to the U.S.—but in a unique and accessible way.

Interestingly, her journey took an unexpected turn when she was guided—through persistent dreams—to work at the White House in Washington, D.C.

With the right connections, she secured a political appointment and spent time in that world about 25 years ago.

👩‍🏫 Discovering Coaching & Building a Practice

It was during this period that she crossed paths with renowned figures in the coaching space, including Iyanla Vanzant and Kenanrunye Kaiser.

She trained with them, further deepening her expertise in coaching, transformation, and healing.

For those unfamiliar with Iyanla, she’s a best-selling author and was one of Oprah’s first featured coaches.

As our conversation continued, Eve shared how her time at the White House ultimately led her deeper into her true calling.

During that period, she trained in conscious connective breathwork and coaching, further expanding her knowledge of healing modalities.

By the time she left, she knew with certainty that coaching and spiritual work were what she was meant to do.

Taking a leap of faith, she secured an office space in DuPont Circle, Washington, D.C.

This was over 25 years ago, at a time when spiritual coaching and energy healing weren’t as widely accepted as they are today.

It was considered highly unconventional—especially in a city so deeply rooted in politics and business.

Despite her initial fears, her practice took off.

She had already been offering intuitive readings while working at the White House, and many of her former colleagues became her first clients, referring even more people to her.

From there, her business grew organically, and she quickly realized she was on the right path.

I love stories like this—when you don’t necessarily know where you’re going, but you trust the energy that presents itself.

You take the next step, even if you don’t have all the answers, simply because it feels right.

That’s exactly how my own journey unfolded, too.

When I first had the idea to start my business, I couldn’t even put it into words.

Then, I ran into a friend who was taking Eve’s Transform Coaching Academy (TCA) program, and I instantly knew: I was supposed to talk to her.

I’m supposed to do this.

I didn’t fully understand what I was stepping into, but I trusted the feeling.

🏫 The Birth of Transform Coaching Academy

Eve’s journey into coaching was a natural evolution of her spiritual work, though, as she shared, it wasn’t something she had initially planned.

After training for three years in conscious connective breathwork and spiritual life coaching, she found herself integrating a range of modalities—shamanism, psychic work, and energy healing—into her practice.

Every step of the way, she was guided, even when it felt terrifying.

Despite the fear, she trusted the process, knowing deep down that she was on the right path.

As she continued her work, she found herself in a position that so many spiritual healers eventually experienced—clients started asking if she would train them.

At the time, coaching was still in its early days.

In the early 2000s, most people didn’t even know what a life coach was.

The field was largely dominated by corporate-style coaching, with very little integration of energy work or spiritual wisdom.

It wasn’t something people were openly combining yet.

Even with the growing demand, Eve hesitated.

She had just given birth to her son and was balancing motherhood with her work.

The thought of adding something new to her plate felt overwhelming.

But the requests kept coming, and life had a way of nudging her in that direction.

Eve’s journey into founding Transform Coaching Academy was a story of divine timing and unexpected alignment.

After years of balancing her work with motherhood, she took the time to write her book when her son started preschool.

But as soon as she finished, the demand for her to train others became undeniable.

Clients were eager to learn from her, asking how they could do the kind of transformational work she was doing.

Even then, she hesitated.

The way she had learned—through apprenticeship, deep personal experience, and immersion in spiritual practices—wasn’t something she had received from a formal training institution.

Her certification in breathwork, for example, came from working closely with mentors for three years in a setting that was deeply intuitive and spiritually guided.

She didn’t think it was something she could package into a structured program.

So she told herself she would focus on her book, continue working with clients, and prioritize raising her son.

That was enough.

Then, just as her book was about to be released, something remarkable happened.

Right before heading to her office, she asked for divine intervention—without specifying what for.

She had assumed she was asking for help with publicity, but the universe had other plans.

That very day, one of her clients sat down in her office and said, “You have to teach me how to become a coach.”

Eve’s initial response was firm: “Absolutely not. My son just started kindergarten, and if I ever did something like this, I wouldn’t launch it until he graduates high school.”

That was 12 years away.

But this client—Kim Hodes, who I also know and love—wasn’t willing to wait.

She refused to take no for an answer and made a bold offer: “I will dedicate a year of my life to helping you build this program because I need to learn it.”

Eve was still reluctant, but then she had a realization—she had just asked for divine intervention, and here it was, right in front of her.

👍 Saying Yes to the Call

Eve’s willingness to embrace the unexpected “yes” led to something truly transformative.

She and Kim spent a year and a half building Transform Coaching Academy from the ground up.

Kim, with her background in corporate training, brought incredible structure and organization to the process.

Eve, despite her deeply spiritual nature, had that same meticulous approach—something she attributes to her Virgo son, as well as her own balance between the mystical and the practical.

The process was deeply intentional.

They recorded and transcribed everything, capturing the essence of Eve’s teachings and turning them into a comprehensive program.

But even after all that, Eve dedicated another full year to refining the manual, ensuring that the training was as powerful and impactful as possible.

And then, Transform Coaching Academy was born.

That was 15 years ago.

Since then, it has grown into something incredible, attracting students from all over the world—myself included.

The blend of coaching and spirituality, structured yet expansive, has empowered so many people to step into their purpose.

Moments like this remind me of how beautifully things fall into place when we’re open to receiving them.

It’s why I always tell people to be mindful of what they ask for—because if you’re not specific, the universe will bring you exactly what you need, even if it’s not what you expected.

Eve stepping into her yes wasn’t just about starting a coaching academy; it was about trusting the divine alignment of her path.

I can relate to that so much.

I never planned to do this kind of work, never thought I’d be teaching the Akashic Records, yet when people kept asking me for it, I had to stop and think: Is this where I’m meant to go?

And once I leaned into it, everything started falling into place effortlessly.

That’s one of the things I love most about Transform Coaching Academy—it blends spirituality with a level of structure and professionalism that makes it accessible to everyone.

It’s deeply transformational without feeling too “out there,” and it meets people exactly where they are.

❓ Why Coaching is Thriving

So, I asked Eve—why do people gravitate toward coaching rather than, say, becoming a therapist?

What is it about coaching that calls to them in a way traditional therapy might not?

Eve shared some powerful insights into why coaching has become such a rapidly growing field—one of the fastest in the world.

Unlike traditional therapy, which often requires years of education, training, and strict licensure, coaching is much more accessible and flexible.

One of the key distinctions she made is that coaching is about raising consciousness, focusing on the present and future rather than dwelling too deeply on the past.

While therapy is absolutely vital—especially for mental health challenges—it comes with constraints due to its regulations.

Coaches, on the other hand, have the freedom to integrate different modalities, show up more authentically, and design their practice in ways that align with their purpose.

Another major factor is the financial and logistical freedom coaching offers.

Therapy often requires a master’s degree and, in many states, a full year of unpaid internship.

Additionally, licensed therapists are usually restricted to working only with clients within their state.

Coaches don’t have those limitations—they can work with people across the country and even worldwide.

This is why so many therapists are actually transitioning into coaching.

It allows them to reach more people, build scalable businesses, and create a deeper impact on their own terms.

That’s something I love about Transform Coaching Academy.

It’s accredited by the International Coaching Federation, meaning it holds the highest level of professional credibility in the coaching industry.

And Eve has seen people—many without a college degree—come through the program, get certified, and go on to build incredibly successful coaching businesses.

Eve highlighted something really profound about coaching—it’s not just about helping others; it transforms the way you show up in your own life.

One of the biggest takeaways she shared is that when you learn to coach others, you also learn how to coach yourself.

That’s an incredibly valuable skill, especially in navigating challenges, setting goals, and staying aligned with your purpose.

She also emphasized how coaching deepens your communication skills and presence.

At Transform Coaching Academy, this is a major focus, and students often find that their relationships start improving within just a couple of months.

Whether it’s with family, a partner, or even colleagues, learning how to communicate in an empowering way creates profound shifts.

Beyond that, coaching helps develop a mindset of possibility and grounded presence.

Instead of feeling stuck or reactive, you start seeing opportunities everywhere and articulating them with clarity.

For anyone who feels called to help others but isn’t sure how to begin, this is exactly why coaching is such a powerful path.

And if you’re curious, Eve has a free masterclass called Are You Meant to Be a Coach?—we’ll drop the link in the show notes so you can check it out!

Eve addressed a major misconception that many aspiring coaches have: “How can I help others if my own life isn’t perfect?”

Her answer was both reassuring and practical—coaching isn’t about having a flawless life; it’s about mastering a set of skills that empower you to guide others effectively.

She compared coaching to professions like law or accounting.

A lawyer doesn’t need to have every aspect of their life in order to be an excellent legal professional, and the same applies to coaches.

At Transform Coaching Academy, students undergo rigorous training in core coaching competencies, learning to facilitate transformation regardless of their own personal challenges.

The program is hands-on, with coaching practice labs, live demonstrations, and structured guidance to build both skill and confidence.

Another key takeaway was the flexibility of coaching.

As I pointed out, life coaching provides a strong foundation, but it’s up to each individual to customize it to their passions.

Whether someone is drawn to leadership coaching, corporate coaching, health coaching, or integrating spiritual practices, coaching is a toolset that blends seamlessly with other modalities.

This led to a natural transition into shamanism, which is a big part of Eve’s background.

🔯 Shamanic Awakening

I was curious about how Eve first gravitated toward shamanism and how her practice has evolved.

This opened the door for Eve to share her journey into shamanic work, her early influences, and how she integrates these practices into her coaching today.

Eve shared that her journey into shamanism wasn’t something she actively sought—it was something that repeatedly found her.

As someone naturally intuitive and psychic, she had multiple encounters where psychics and spiritual practitioners approached her, recognizing her gifts.

For a long time, she resisted, even running in the other direction.

But when a shaman saw her potential and offered to guide her, she finally stepped into that path.

She was already exposed to spiritual healing through her upbringing.

Her mother’s family in the Arkansas Ozarks practiced reflexology, worked with crystals, and engaged in what would now be considered “woo-woo” practices.

That early exposure planted the seeds for her later exploration.

Her journey deepened when she was invited to a Native American Apache ceremony in Arizona, a sacred coming-of-age ritual for young women.

She was also able to return to Africa, where she had early experiences witnessing powerful female healers.

These experiences expanded her understanding of shamanic work and strengthened her connection to the practice.

Though Transform Coaching Academy is not a formal training in shamanism, Eve explained that many of its transformational processes are infused with shamanic principles.

The program integrates breathwork, visualization, and energetic techniques that she channeled over the years.

These tools help clients connect with the light, shift their realities, and create profound transformation.

Before launching Transform Coaching Academy, Eve used these methods with private clients.

Their experiences were so impactful that many asked her to teach them the techniques—ultimately leading to the creation of her coaching program.

One of the things I love most about exploring different spiritual modalities is how they inspire and shape our work in such unexpected ways.

Each modality might have its own structured steps, but when you start integrating multiple modalities, you create something entirely new—an infusion of different practices that take on a life of their own.

That’s the beauty of spirituality and healing; it’s a constantly unfolding journey.

In Healer’s Edition, the second level of Sacred Awakening for Akashic Records, many of the practices I teach often feel very shamanistic to people.

And they’re right—there’s an infusion of various traditions, even if we don’t necessarily label it that way. It all comes down to where the energy is leading us.

Speaking of new paths, I asked Eve what she’s currently exploring that’s different or new—something outside of what she’s dabbled in before.

🪨 Greece: A Spiritual Homecoming

Her journey has taken her somewhere incredible.

About a year and a half ago, she moved to Greece—a dream she powerfully manifested.

I have to say, Eve is one of the most powerful manifesters I know.

She set the intention to move to Greece, and the universe aligned perfectly—her husband received a job offer there, and just like that, they made the move.

It’s been such an inspiring transition to witness.

The energy in Greece, according to Eve, is beyond powerful.

The land, the culture, and the history are steeped in deep healing traditions.

One of the most fascinating aspects of her journey has been connecting with healers, including medical doctors who incorporate intuitive practices.

She shared a story about an MD she met who also has a master’s in homeopathy.

In their first meeting, he said something that resonated deeply: sometimes, doctors have to follow their intuition.

That level of awareness and openness in a medical professional is so inspiring.

Beyond the people, Greece itself holds a profound legacy of healing.

Like ancient Egypt, China, and indigenous cultures worldwide, Greece was home to some of the earliest healers, particularly within European traditions.

Eve has traveled to many ancient healing sites and has more planned in the coming weeks.

She’s immersing herself in the wisdom of ancient Greek healers, rites, and practices, and the experience has been both grounding and transformative.

Hearing about her journey reminds me of how powerful it is to follow the call of our soul—to explore, integrate, and trust where the path is leading us.

I can’t wait to see how Eve’s discoveries continue to shape her work and inspire others along the way.

One of the most fascinating parts of my conversation with Eve was her work with Greek goddesses.

When I asked if she had been working with any, she immediately nodded and shared her connection with Athena.

Athena has been a strong and present energy in her life, particularly when traveling alone.

Eve has done a lot of solo traveling, and during those times, she has felt Athena’s protective and guiding presence deeply.

One of the most profound experiences she described was feeling called to undergo a rite of passage.

This led her to visit powerful healing springs and ancient temples, where she immersed herself in the sacred energies.

Another powerful figure she has connected with is Afeia, whom some regard as a goddess and others as a nymph.

Her visits to Afeia’s temple have been deeply moving and transformative.

Athens itself carries the energy of Athena—her name is spoken millions of times daily, acting like a mantra that keeps her consciousness alive.

This constant invocation of Athena’s name contributes to the powerful energy of the city and has played a significant role in Eve’s spiritual experiences in Greece.

♒ 2025 & The Age of Aquarius

As our conversation shifted toward the future, I asked Eve what she was most looking forward to in 2025.

Her response was filled with excitement and anticipation.

She feels that 2025 will be a deeply transformational year, one in which she births new work in a way that feels peaceful and fun.

Her focus is on raising her consciousness and aligning herself with higher vibrations.

For Eve, raising consciousness means staying in a higher vibration, making intentional choices to remain in the light, and embracing the massive global transformation currently unfolding.

While the world is experiencing immense challenges, it is also undergoing a beautiful shift.

Eve believes that by staying in alignment and increasing her energy, she can navigate this transformation with grace and contribute to the collective elevation of consciousness.

In our conversation, we touched on the importance of maintaining higher consciousness in the midst of social media noise and global challenges.

It’s so easy to get pulled into fear consciousness or victim consciousness with the constant barrage of news and online content.

Staying in a place of light and viewing the world as a friendly universe is a practice—one that takes intention and effort.

I asked Eve, given her deep psychic abilities, where she sees our planetary consciousness heading in the Age of Aquarius.

What insights has she been receiving that aren’t widely discussed yet?

Eve believes that the Age of Aquarius presents a huge opportunity for humanity to expand into higher consciousness, embracing kindness, compassion, and healing—for both the Earth and ourselves.

However, she also acknowledges the immense resistance to this shift, which is manifesting as chaos and challenges worldwide.

A key concern she highlighted is the overwhelming sense of hopelessness many people feel about the future, particularly regarding the environment and other global issues.

She feels called to help humanity gain clarity about the future we want to create.

This, she emphasized, is where coaching plays a pivotal role.

Coaches help individuals, organizations, and even entire societies get clear on their vision for the future.

Looking at history, Eve drew parallels to major transformational movements—the end of colonialism, the abolition of slavery, groundbreaking technological advancements, and even humanity’s first steps on the moon.

All of these shifts began with people daring to envision a different future.

The most radical social changes have required an extraordinary leap of faith.

During her PhD studies in anthropology, Eve spent significant time exploring these historical movements.

She noted that change doesn’t come from passively waiting—it emerges from a conscious decision to shape a new reality.

As we navigate the Age of Aquarius, she believes we are being called to take that leap of faith once again, to hold a clear vision of the world we want to co-create and to trust that transformation is not only possible but inevitable.

Eve highlighted how major social movements throughout history were deeply connected to spirituality and a clear vision for change.

Many transformational shifts began with individuals and groups who stayed committed to a higher purpose, even in the face of overwhelming resistance.

She noted that today, people are more inundated with news and information than ever before, leading to widespread feelings of exhaustion and despair.

She emphasized that most people currently hold a vision of a world in crisis, believing things are falling apart.

However, she believes that by shifting focus, those who envision a brighter future can come together to define it, hold that vision, and actively take steps toward manifesting it.

This is where real transformation begins.

💜 Following Your Calling

To support those feeling called to coaching, Eve shared insights about her free masterclass, “Are You Meant to Be a Coach?”

This masterclass explores three essential steps to creating a successful coaching career—one that is impactful and financially rewarding.

It helps participants determine if coaching aligns with their purpose, understand the key traits of successful coaches, and learn how to structure their services for abundance.

For those considering a coaching path, the link to the masterclass is in the show notes.

However, Eve and I also discussed a broader question: What is your heart guiding you to do?

If coaching isn’t your calling, what is?

What sparks joy and purpose for you?

The invitation is to listen to that inner voice, follow where it leads, and trust that by helping yourself, you will also help others.

Reflecting on my own journey, I shared how working with Eve and taking the Transform Coaching Academy course was life-changing.

It provided me with the confidence and accreditation I needed before launching my business.

If you feel drawn to coaching, I highly recommend exploring the masterclass.

But beyond that, I encourage you to tune into your heart’s wisdom—because you already know what you are meant to do.

The next step is giving yourself permission to do it.

With love and blessings,

Speaker 1
How are you, my dear?

Speaker 2
Hi, Amy. It’s so great to be here. I’m good. Thank you. Happy New Year.

Speaker 1
Happy New Year. I’m so excited to chat with you today. You and I have known each other for a really long time. I know all about you, but for people that are just starting to listen and maybe just being introduced to you, tell me how you got started on your spiritual path and into coaching?

Speaker 2
Oh, sure. Well, I initially got started on my spiritual path, I think, when I moved to West Africa 37 years ago. I was 20 years old, and I just felt this pull, and I ended up moving to a small country called Togo, West Africa. This was a long time ago. Before you really heard a lot about healing and healers in the US. When I was there, I ended up just meeting and finding out about all these women who were healers and all these people who did energy work and all kinds of healers. Really, for the first time, got introduced to concepts like the divine feminine and people working with goddesses. That really got me interested in looking at other alternatives, particularly with healing. Then A few years later, I was actually doing my graduate degree. I was doing a PhD in Anthropology. In that, I started studying more about women healers and just different ways of thinking about health and growth. I ended up apprenticing and training with a shaman one-on-one for several years. By the time I was done with my PhD, I was being really called to bring that work to the US, but in a different format.

Speaker 2
I ended up, once I finished my PhD, I ended up actually going and working for the White House in Washington. I kept on having dreams, and that’s what I was told to do, and I had some connections with that. I went and ended up working as a political appointee for the White House. During that time, the This was right around, this was about 25 years ago. During that time, I actually got connected to Ayana Van Zandt and Kenanrunye Kaiser, who I ended up doing coach training with. Ayana, I don’t know if you’re familiar with her. She’s an author. She was Oprah’s first guest as a coach.

Speaker 1
I don’t know her exactly, but that’s awesome.

Speaker 2
She’s a pretty amazing person, and she actually works in a lot of other healing modalities. I ended up training and getting certified in conscious connective breathwork and coaching. And by the time I finished at the White House, I knew it was like, that’s what I’m called to do. And so I actually started my… I got an office space in Washington, DC. And again, this was so woo-wu. This was 25 years. It wasn’t normalized back then. It was not normalized at all back then. So it’s like 24, 25 years ago. I got an office space in DuPont Circle in Washington, DC DC. I was working doing coaching, energy healing, intuitive work, shamanic work, all this stuff. Honestly, it went really great, which was super surprising to me. I had a lot of concerns and fears, but I’d already started actually doing psychic readings and things for people when I was working at the White House. A lot of those people came and became my clients and then referred all these people. I just had all these amazing clients in DC see. It just my business just grew organically. That’s how it got started.

Speaker 1
See, I love that, though, because when you don’t know where you’re going, but you just follow the energy that presents itself to you or We’re just like, Yeah, I’m doing this. I don’t know why I’m doing it, but I’m doing it because it feels good. Then it all just works out really beautifully. I know that when I was wanting to start my business, I didn’t even know how to articulate it. And when I ran into one of my friends that was taking your program, TCA, I was like, Yeah, I’m supposed to talk to her. I’m supposed to meet with her. I’m supposed to do these things. And I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be doing, but I know I’m supposed to be doing this because I already had a lot of the spiritual training just like you behind me, and then I wanted to learn more of the coaching side. And I love that you brought that spiritual aspect even into corporate America and into the government and things like that, that most people would be like, No way they’re doing that. But actually, was it J. P. Morgan? He would hire astrologists to give chart readings.

Speaker 1
And so this has been going on for the beginning of time where we would look at the stars or look at whatever modality to see where we want it to go. I love that you just had the faith to do that. Now, you teach teach people how to be life coaches. Let’s talk a little bit about that and how going from learning to be a shamanism and into goddesses and psychic readings and energy work, how did you find yourself in coaching and how has that transform the way you show up as a healer?

Speaker 2
Oh, yeah. Okay, that’s a great question. Well, I ended up, like I mentioned, so I had gotten certified in conscious connective breathwork and spiritual life coaching, and I actually trained with them for about three years to do that. Then when I was working, I was combining those modalities, everything from shamanism, psychic work, all that. Again, all of it, I was totally guided. Quite frankly, I was terrified to do all of it, but I was just guided so strongly. I knew it was the way to go. I continued doing my work, which I loved. Getting to do this work, we’re so, so fortunate. It’s so rich, so deep. I started having all these clients asking me if I would train them. The field of coaching was actually pretty new then, in the early 2000s. It was really just starting, and most people didn’t know what a coach was. Most of the people who were doing coaching were doing it from a more in the corporate world. They weren’t combining it with energy work or shamanism or anything. Not in the beginning. I just kept on having people request. I do it, but I actually had… I gave birth to my son, and so I was taking care of him, and I was working, and I thought, I can’t take on something else.

Speaker 2
Then I ended up actually writing my book. When he started preschool and stuff, I started writing my book, and I just finished my book, and I really started having a lot of people ask me to train them. A lot of clients, people were like, I’ve got to find out how to do this. Honestly, Honestly, since Transformed Coaching Academy, what I did eventually, it combines all these things, it integrates all these things. But I had learned a lot of them very organically, not in a formal institutional training program Even my certification with breathwork and whatnot, it was really working closely with them for three years as an apprentice and super woo-woo. Anyway, I don’t know. I don’t think I can do that. I’m just going to focus on getting the book and then staying with my son, working with clients, and that was it. Then right when the book was coming out, right before I went to see a client, I asked for divine intervention, but I did not specify what it was for. I actually thought when I just was putting on my shoes to go to my office, which you don’t need an office for coaching, but I had one because back then people were more comfortable with that than virtual.

Speaker 2
Anyway, I was putting on my shoes. I meant for helping to publicize my But anyway, I didn’t specify. Then I get to my office and my client is like, You’ve got to teach me how to become a coach. I’ve got to learn how to do this work. It’s helped me more than anything. I was like, You know what? My son’s in kindergarten. I’m not going to try to put something like that together until he graduates from high school. She was like, I will not wait 12 years. This is Kim Hodes, who you know. Yes, I love Kim. She’s like, I said, I’m sorry, you got to learn it from someone else or you have to wait 12 years because if I were to train people, I’d want it to be really good. And that’s going to take a lot of work to put this together because the way I learned it was so esoteric and woo-woo. She was like, No, I’m going to dedicate a year of my life to helping you put the training program together because I want to learn it. And I said, Well, think about it. But I realized I had just asked for divine intervention.

Speaker 2
So I said, Okay, if you really feel moved, we can do that. We ended up spending a year and a half putting everything together. Basically, she’d go like, Do you remember when you did this? Then I would do it for her, and then she would record it and transcribe it all. We ended up just putting everything together for that. Then we started Transform Coaching Academy 15 years ago. This is the 15th year. It’s been amazing. I mean, it’s such a powerful training program. Kim had actually created corporate trainings before, so she was super organized. I actually my son’s sign is Virgo. So I am also, even though I’m super woo-woo, I’m very organized. So I spent a whole other year working on the manual, and then we just started training people. I just had all these clients and other people who wanted to take it from the get-go. And now, you and so many people, I’ve been so blessed to get to help train people from all over the world. It’s been amazing.

Speaker 1
Stuff like that falls together really beautifully truthfully, one, if you’re open to the yes. You took a step back and you realize, wait, I did just ask for divine intervention. I didn’t get specific. That’s why I always helping people be careful what you wish for, because if you’re not specific, the universe is going to bless you with whatever it is that it deems into that space of what it’s wanting to help you reorganize. But I love that you entered into the yes, even though you were reluctant or not even thinking about it, because I think sometimes those are the most beautiful blessings because I never planned to do this. I never planned to teach the Akashic records or anything like that. But I knew that similar to you when people started asking me for it, I was like, Well, let me think about that for a second. Then it just bam, bam, bam. It all beautifully unfolds really just organically in such a beautiful way that you can’t make it It’s just divinement in alignment with what it is that you’re wanting to… Where your path is wanting to go, which I think is nice.

Speaker 1
Now, one of the things that I love about Transform Coaching Academy is that there is this blend of spirituality in it, but it can also be very corporate and structured without being extremely out there, and I’m going to put that in quotations. Because it just meets everybody where they’re at. Why do you think people gravitate wanting to learn to be a coach versus learning to, let’s say, be a therapist?

Speaker 2
Well, that’s a great question. I think there’s several reasons. One, coaching is becoming more and more popular. It’s literally, I think, the second or third most growing field in the world. It’s really becoming this thing that people are drawn towards. I think for a few reasons. One, coaching is really, at least the way I teach, is really about increasing the consciousness. It’s helping raise the consciousness on the planet. It’s also looking at the future and the present. We go into the past, but it’s much more brief. It’s really about, how do you want to create this future? How do you want to live in the past, in the present moment? I think a lot of people are really drawn to it for that. Also, you can add all these modalities into it. It’s more integrated. As a coach, you can really show up as your authentic self in a way we can share more with our clients. I think therapy and mental health care is incredibly, incredibly important. I really honor therapy and mental health care, but it has certain restrictions because of their licensures and their trainings. Now, also, the other thing that happens is to become a therapist There’s different kinds of therapists and mental health care professionals.

Speaker 2
But in many countries, particularly, I’m going to talk about the US because I know that really well, you not only need a college degree, you often need a master’s degree, and then you need a tremendous amount. I can’t even remember how many hours it varies in different states. But in some states, like California, it’s over a year of unpaid internship, a year full-time. Just getting to become a therapist is The investment level is really beyond, not, I mean, financially, but also in time. Some people are drawn to that, but it’s really challenging. Then it has constraints that coaching doesn’t have. It needs those constraints because it’s working with people who may be experiencing mental health challenges and whatnot. With coaching, we’re not doing that. We’re working with people who… I mean, people may be seeing a therapist, but they’re seeing the therapist for mental health. With coaching, you can actually… We’re also financially, with coaching, often, it’s actually easier to make a lot more money as a coach. You can scale the way. I agree with that. Yeah. You can scale the way you do your offerings, you can do all sorts of things with coaching.

Speaker 2
Actually, what we’re seeing now is a lot of therapists are becoming coaches because it’s a lot easier. Therapy also has a lot of limits, at least in the US. Generally, if you’re licensed in a state, you You can only work with people in that state. With coaching, you can work not only with people if you’re in the US, any state, but you can also work with people anywhere in the world. I think coaching is in many ways, it’s an easier thing. Also, I’ve had a lot of people on Transform Coaching Academy who didn’t have a college degree, and they’ve taken Transform Coaching Academy. They’ve gotten this certification. And Transform Coaching Academy, it’s accredited by the International Coaching Federation. So it’s really got the most formal accreditation you can have for coaching. They’ve taken that and been able to build wildly successful coaching businesses where they’re helping people very deeply, they’re making a great income, and they’re able to do that where they are in their lives. I think that’s a huge piece.

Speaker 1
I think the neat thing about coaching is for me for a really long time, anything that I always had this desire that I couldn’t articulate, and that was, I want to help people, but I don’t know what that is or what that looks like or how to even go about doing that. I would just collect different modalities that I found interesting from the Akashic Records to energy healing to mediumship, to crystals, and you name it. I took all sorts of different things. I wanted something that gave me confidence and going out and helping people. I feel like getting a life coaching certificate does that because it allows you to go, Okay, I got all these things that I’m really good at. I really want to help someone, but I don’t even know what that looks like. So that’s what I wanted life coaching certificate for was to do that. So if you’re out there and you’re thinking that you want to help people and you’re not sure where or how to start, one, life coaching, getting a life coaching certificate is one of are just starting to dabble in modalities that make you feel good and you’re interested in because there’s many different paths to going because you and I both took the path of first get all your different trainings that you’re really interested in.

Speaker 1
Then also, we’re going to… Eve has a free masterclass. It’s called Are You Meant to be a Coach Masterclass? We’re going to put that URL in the show notes and in the show description later, and I’ll have Eve talk about that in just a little bit. Going down this path of coaching, how does this allow you to show up differently for yourself?

Speaker 2
That’s a great question. Well, one of the wonderful things about coaching is as you learn to be a coach, you also learn how to coach yourself. That is such a valuable skill. I am constantly coaching myself. That’s a really powerful skill. It’s also, especially in Transformed Coaching Academy, we really focus a lot on communication and presence. It really helps you show up very differently in your life. A lot of people who take Transformed Coaching Academy, they’ll say within the first couple of months, they’re like, wow, my relationships are transforming. Relationships with family members that I thought just I’d done so much work around and they were still stuck in this area, they’re now starting to really transform in beautiful ways in my relationships with maybe my partner or people have children. It’s really powerful learning these coaching communication skills because it not only empowers you, it also empowers the people you’re communicating with. So that really affects how people show up. And then part of coaching is developing a coaching mindset and presence. And so by doing that, learning those skills, you just start to show up so much more grounded and really looking for the possibility and being able to articulate the possibilities really powerfully.

Speaker 1
I think that’s great. Showing up for yourself and showing up in relationships and learning how to communicate with more challenging relationships, I think is really helpful. What would you say to someone that’s like, But my life’s not together. How am I going to go and help someone else get their life together if my life’s not together?

Speaker 2
That is a huge misconception a lot of people have. The whole thing with coaching is actually a set of skills, very defined skills that you have to learn. You have to learn how to master. In Transform Coaching Academy, we do a lot of coaching practice. In our classes, I’m demonstrating coaching methods and transformational processes, but we also have a lot of coaching practice classes and labs where people are getting to actually practice all the skills to learn the core competencies of coaching. Once you learn those skills and really master that, as well as the Transform Coaching Academy, transformational principles and processes that I teach, you’re going to be able to help people transform their life, even in areas that you may not have it all together in. Because take it like a lawyer or an accountant or something. Do they have their lives totally together? Probably not. But they know the skills and the craft and the competencies of their in their field, and so they can help you with that personally. It’s the same thing with coaching. As you really learn how to master the skills and the competencies, then you’re going to be able to take that and actually help people in any area that you choose to focus on because you can use it for life coaching, but we have people who actually take Transform Coaching Academy, and then they go and do leadership coaching or corporate coaching or health coaching, whatever they choose, because it’s actually eight core competencies of coaching, developing those skills that you then can take and coach anyone on any subject, even a subject you don’t know all that much about.

Speaker 1
Which is really neat. I think that life coaching in general is very general. It’s very vanilla until you get to decide what flavor you want to make it. You can mix it up and shift it up. I always tell people just even in doing with our program for our Akash Cracker program, our healer’s certificate, where you get to specialize in anything you want. And I feel like life coaching is that as well because take Having those skills, they go with and couple well with anything else in your toolbox, which is really neat. I want to go back to shamanism, how did you find yourself in gravitating towards that? And how do you use shamanism now versus when you first got started?

Speaker 2
So honestly, I wasn’t necessarily gravitating towards it. I’m someone like you who’s very intuitive and very psychic. For many years, in my teenage years and in my early 20s, a few different times, I had psychics approach me, literally on the street and be like, You’re incredibly psychic. I’d like to help you train with that. At that point, I had been really into it as a child, and then there was a point where I cut it out. At that point, I usually would look at them and turn around and run. I’m not joking. Nope. But anyway, someone approached me who was a shaman and was like, I can see you’re really gifted, and It just went from there. I ended up doing it. But I had already been very interested to the exposure I got to these healers in Africa. I was seeing how people thought, people were like, you could tell they were like, these are really powerful women. Honestly, growing up, where I’m from, my mother’s family were into things like reflexology. My family is from the Arkansas Ozarks, and they did like, reflexology and the crystals and all sorts of what are the woo-woo things now.

Speaker 2
I had already been exposed to all that when I was growing up. Once I got into shamanism, I was really fortunate. I had a Native American tribe, the Apache in Arizona, a specific tribe, invited me out to one of their ceremonies. I just kept on getting more and more exposure, which was amazing to get to see this very large ceremony that was celebrating. It was particularly a coming-of-age ceremony for women, for these two girls. A friend of mine who was an anthropologist, she was doing the Anthropology with them, and they knew about me, and so they invited me out. I just kept on getting more and more exposure. Then I went back to Africa a couple of times as well. I got more connection with healers and shamanism there as well. I was really fortunate. Basically, with Transform Coaching Academy, it weaves in a lot of shamanism, particularly through the transformational processes, because a lot of them are things that I channeled. It’s very much helping people really connect with the light and being able to weave their new reality. I think in that way, it connects Basically, I think it’s not a program or training in shamanism.

Speaker 2
It’s a coaching certification program, but it integrates a bunch of breathwork from conscious connective breathing, which I studied for many years, and the visualization, the shamanism. It’s all of this work that I was weaving together that my clients, before I started Transformed Coaching Academy, they found it so amazing powerful and transformational. They wanted to learn how to do it so they could help other people.

Speaker 1
That’s the cool thing about, I think, doing different modalities because those modalities inspire you and your work in such a different way. No matter if you learn the modality, let’s say the modality is step A, B, and C, well, when you get all these other modalities and you start mixing them together, you start making all these different steps that aren’t aren’t the original steps to, let’s say, one modality, but it’s an infusion of everything together. That’s the thing that I love about spirituality and different spiritual practices, because there’s such this beautiful unfolding In Healers Edition, what I teach for our second level in Sacred Awakening for Kashuk Records, a lot of our practices that we do, somebody will go, This feels it’s very shamanistic. And I’m like, Yeah, there’s an infusion of all these different things. You might not call it that, but that’s what it is, and it can be very similar. It’s wherever it’s taking you. How do you use… I know you use, obviously, the principles from your coaching. What are you excited about getting into that’s maybe different or new on your radar that’s a little maybe not something you’ve been dabbling in the past?

Speaker 2
Yeah, that’s a great question. Well, as you know, I moved to Greece about a year and a half ago.

Speaker 1
Yeah. So for anybody that’s listening to this, Eve is one of the most powerful manifesters I know. She’s like, I want to move to Greece. She got to go to move to Greece with your husband got a job offer there, which is awesome. She’s just very powerful manifester.

Speaker 2
So It’s been amazing. The energy here is, wow, it is so powerful. I mean, the Greek people and culture and history and the healers I’ve met here, All kinds of… I mean, even medical doctors and stuff, just really… I have a medical doctor who has… He’s an MD, but he also has a master’s in homeopathy, and he’s in our Our first meeting, he was like, You have to, doctors sometimes have to follow their intuition. I mean, he’s so intuitive, so powerful.

Speaker 1
That’s amazing.

Speaker 2
It’s amazing. I’ve gotten to go to all these ancient sites because Greece, like the Egyptians, like the Chinese, and like lots of various indigenous cultures throughout the world, they were really some of the early healers, certainly in any European tradition. There is a really powerful culture of healing here. I’ve gotten to go to a lot of these ancient sites. I’m going to go to two more in two weeks. I’ve traveled to a lot of them. I’ve just really focused on learning more about ancient Greeks and ancient Greek healers and the various rights and practices. It’s been super powerful, really grounding and really, really powerful and fantastic. That’s what I’m dabbling in right now.

Speaker 1
I love that. Bruce is probably on my bucket list, and I know that I’m like, I wish I could go. I’m so busy right now. I wish I could come and visit you. Have you been working with any of the goddesses from Greece? She’s shaking her head, yes. Which ones and what’s your relationship with her? What’s your favorite one to work with and why?

Speaker 2
Specifically, Athena. She’s been super powerful, really present at certain times, particularly when I’ve been traveling alone. I’ve traveled alone quite a bit. I’ve felt, particularly when it was warmer, just this really wanting to do a rite of passage. I was able to go to these very powerful healing springs, which was amazing. I’ve been to some other temples as well, some other places. There’s also some call her a goddess, some call her a nymph called Afeia. When I’ve been there at her temple, it’s been very, very powerful as well. It’s been really amazing. I mean, Athena is an incredibly powerful goddess, and And Athens, in English, the name is Athens, but in Greek, it’s Athena. It is her city. And so her name is still said millions of times a day. She’s a mantra that keeps the consciousness. Yeah. So she’s a really powerful energy. And yeah, it’s been amazing.

Speaker 1
That’s really cool. I think I would be so gravitating Because I’ve worked with a lot of the different Greek goddesses, and I love all of them. I think they’re all amazing. So I think that’s fantastic that you’re working with them. What are you looking forward to in 2025 and why?

Speaker 2
I’m really excited in 2025. I feel like it’s going to be a very transformational year for me. I feel like I’m right on the precipice of birthing some new work. I’m looking forward to doing it in a way that’s very peaceful and very fun. Just in general, I mean, 2025, I’m really about just how can I continue to raise my consciousness and open to more alignment. It feels like a really powerful year.

Speaker 1
Love that. What does raising your consciousness mean to you? What does look like? What does that feel like?

Speaker 2
For me, it feels like being able to just continually stay in a vibration of higher consciousness, which I think a lot of us healers and other people are being called to do right now while we’re in this massive global transformation that’s incredibly chaotic and incredibly challenging. On many levels, It’s also beautiful on many levels as well, but it’s really challenging for a lot of people throughout the planet and the planet itself. Being able to stay in that higher vibration, being able to stay in the light, and being able to consciously make that choice and increase that energy.

Speaker 1
I think that’s important because when we have social media feeds and news and all that stuff, it’s easy to quickly dim our light, quickly move into fear consciousness or victim consciousness. It can be a practice to master raising your consciousness and staying out of those things and leaning into the world as a friendly universe, a friendly place, and we choose to stay here. So I love that. We’re in the age of Aquarius, and since you’re super psychic, where do you see our consciousness as a planet going? What are you looking forward to for the Age of Aquarius now that we’re in it? What is something possibly that you maybe have been getting downloads on that people aren’t talking about?

Speaker 2
Well, in In the Age of Aquarius, I do believe that we are opening to higher consciousness. Obviously, it feels like there’s a huge struggle with that. That there’s a lot of resistance from that as well. I do see that in the Age of Aquarius, there’s this huge opportunity for us to open up to much higher consciousness, to much more kindness and compassion for healing for the Earth, for healing for humanity, and for creating a lot more abundance for all. Right now, though, that is creating, because there’s a lot of resistance around that, it’s creating tremendous chaos and challenges. I’m not sure exactly when you said… I think you said, What am I thinking about that people aren’t talking about? I don’t know for sure because I’m not certain what people are talking about. But I do feel like a lot of people are feeling incredibly hopeless around the future, whether it be the environmental future of the planet or there’s a lot of other factors going on. People are feeling really overwhelmed and hopeless. I know I’m being called to do work to help humanity get really clear about the future we want because it’s essential.

Speaker 2
That’s one of the things we do in coaching, and it’s really one of the reasons I think coaches will help raise the consciousness on the planet, because one of the things we do is help people or organizations, or we could with countries or the whole world, really get clear about the future we want. We know when we look at major transformational movements, whether they be the end of colonialism or the end of, let’s say, African or African-American slavery or new technologies and innovations, even taking when people first went to the moon, any of these big radical social changes, we know that they start by people getting really clear what they want for the future. Sometimes, most of the time for humans, that has taken a huge leap of faith. You think of the end of colonial oppression and those kinds of things that people were able to say, no, we don’t want this. We want to be free. We want to rule ourselves. We want to govern ourselves against incredibly oppressive and powerful empires. Took a huge leap of faith. But when you… I did a lot of time when I was doing my PhD in Anthepology, spent a lot of time reading about all of this.

Speaker 2
How are these big movements? How are these big social movements of social change? How did they change? And a lot of it started with that. It was actually a connection to spirituality, a connection to something bigger than us, and a real clear vision of what people wanted to and staying committed to that vision. And I think that’s one of the things that we’re missing on a global level right now. People are We’re so overwhelmed because for the first time ever, we have just news and information coming to us 24/7.

Speaker 1
Yeah, it’s overwhelming.

Speaker 2
It’s overwhelming. Most people, unfortunately, have a vision like, Oh, my God, the world’s falling apart. I feel like, I guess this is probably the thing I’m talking about that other people are talking about. I feel that it’s really essential for us to come together, the people who do want a brighter future, and get clear, what does that look like? Create that vision and then hold that vision and eventually take steps to move towards it.

Speaker 1
I like that the bigger movements were based on spirituality or beliefs. That’s neat. That’s really, really neat. Tell everybody what the free masterclass is. Are you meant to be a coach masterclass? Now that link will be in our show notes and our URL, so you can sign up for that free class if you’re interested in it.

Speaker 1
All right, my friends, are you interested becoming a coach? Do you want to help people? Are you wanting to learn different modalities? What is your heart guiding you to do? I know for me, working with Eve has completely transformed my life. I took Transforming Coaching Academy when I was just getting started in my business, but actually before I started my business, and I wanted to help people, and I felt like this gave me the accreditation that I was looking for. And so if you’re wanting to coach, look at this free master class. The link is in the show notes. If this is not for you, what are you wanting to do that helps you get further along in life? Like, by helping yourself, you help others. And so the question is, what are you looking to do that sparks joy that your heart is gravitating towards? Because if it’s not this or it’s not something else, what is it? And that’s the bigger question that I have for you is, what is it? What is your heart guiding you to do? Because you know what your heart is guiding you to do. So go ahead and give yourself permission to do it so that you can start helping yourself while helping others.
