UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF OBSERVING YOUR THOUGHTS

Do you ever find yourself caught up in a whirlwind of thoughts, unable to control the chaos in your mind? It's a common experience, but the good news is that you have the power to take control of your thoughts and transform your reality. In this blog/epsiode, we will explore the practice of observing your thoughts and how it can help you gain mastery over your mind. By the end of this article, you will have a clear understanding of how to control your thoughts and create a more positive and fulfilling life.

THE MIND: YOUR MIRACULOUS COMPUTER

Our minds are like powerful computers capable of reprogramming. They are wired to support us, driven by the subconscious mind feeding it rules based on past experiences. But here's the kicker: Do you want to create from the past or the present moment? I know the answer – you're here for the present, for progress, and for a future filled with blessings.

UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF THE MIND

The human mind is a complex and powerful tool that can either work for us or against us. It is capable of shaping our thoughts, emotions, and actions. However, without proper control, our minds can become a breeding ground for negativity, self-doubt, and distractions. To truly take charge of our lives, we must learn how to control our minds effectively.

THE CURIOUS OBSERVER: A KEY TO UNLOCKING CHANGE

When we observe our thoughts as curious students, we open ourselves up to the possibility of change. Instead of getting upset with ourselves for not being able to control our thoughts, we can step back and become the observer. Notice what your thoughts are saying to you, what you're saying to yourself. By getting curious about how these thoughts are impacting your reality, you can start to see the influence they have on your everyday life.

BREAKING FREE FROM LIMITING BELIEFS

Many of our thoughts are reruns, repeats of past experiences, and they often tend to be negative. But by observing these thoughts, we can break free from the shackles of the past. One powerful way to observe your thoughts is through meditation. While it's natural for the mind to wander during meditation, the key is to bring it back to the present moment. By practicing meditation, you can develop the skill of observing your thoughts without judgment.

THE SHOWER: A SANCTUARY FOR OBSERVING THOUGHTS

Another great place to observe your thoughts is in the shower. This is my personal favorite place to observe my thoughts. I find the shower to be calming and soothing to my nervous system. Taking a meditative shower allows you to give yourself permission to be the observer of your thoughts. You may notice that certain thoughts are on repeat, bothering you throughout the day. Or perhaps you have a belief that your thoughts define who you are. By observing these thoughts, you can bring them to your conscious awareness and break free from negative patterns and loops.

ASKING QUESTIONS AND CANCELLING LIMITING BELIEFS

To truly understand your subconscious beliefs, you can ask yourself questions and be honest with yourself. This practice allows the truth to come out without judgment. By bringing subconscious beliefs to the surface, you can cancel them and choose a different belief that serves your highest good. This daily practice empowers you to take control of your destiny and attract the things you deserve and desire.

THAT’S NOT TRUE

When a thought arises that you don’t like and or don’t support the reality that you truly wish to create, simply tell yourself that it is not true! By doing so you are training your subconscious to start to think new thoughts. It’s okay if the arises again. If it does, simply tell yourself it’s not true and choose a different thought that supports the reality you truly wish to create.

For example, if you have the thought: “ I am always late, and no one ever helps me.”
You will say: “That’s not true. I have enough time in the day, and I am always on time because I have many people and systems in my life that love to support me!”

The statement might not be true at first, but it will eventually be true, so speak it into existence!

THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

One of the fundamental principles governing our reality is the law of attraction. It's crucial to understand that the universe, the creative force, doesn't distinguish thoughts as negative or positive; it merely recognizes them as truth. This recognition is independent of whether the thought aligns with your current reality or stems from past experiences.
Even if a thought doesn't resonate as true for you, particularly if it's rooted in the past, the universe registers it as your truth. Why? Because every thought you emit serves as a signal, akin to casting a spell, essentially saying, "Bring this back to me. This is what I want. This is my truth."
Now, when you consciously tell your brain, "That's not true. I'm not participating in that today," and proceed to assert what is true for you, it triggers a powerful shift. This truth-telling doesn't necessarily have to align with your present circumstances; it can be a declaration of intent. The universe operates beyond the realms of positive or negative distinctions, oblivious to the boundaries of past, present, and future.

EMBED YOUR ASPIRATIONS INTO THE PRESENT

To effectively shape your future, it's crucial to embed your aspirations into the present moment. You wield the power to create your future based on your present actions, thoughts, and words. Herein lies the challenge – the conundrum of being caught in a vicious cycle of past behaviors, frequencies, and loops that can seemingly keep us stuck.

It's not uncommon for individuals, like my students and clients, to express feelings of being stuck or blocked. However, it's essential to break free from the self-imposed narrative of being blocked. The more you reinforce this belief, the more you signal the universe to validate it as your reality. Do you genuinely desire that as your truth? Probably not.

YOU ARE NOT BLOCKED OR STUCK

Instead of labeling yourself as blocked or stuck, make a conscious choice to focus on what you truly want and desire. Your future is a canvas waiting for your creative touch. Base your aspirations on your words, your mind, your deeds, your actions, and your thoughts. The spoken and unspoken elements hold substantial power in shaping your reality.
Recognizing this power within yourself is the key to unleashing your true potential. You are an incredible manifesto of your reality, and even if you don't feel that way right now, I assure you that you are. You've played an active role in creating your present reality, and you hold the same potential to shape the reality you'll experience a year from now.

BE BOLD BE CLEAR

So, what is it that you truly want? Be bold, be clear, and make a conscious decision to create that reality. While instantaneous miracles are possible, the process of rewiring your mind demands patience, consistency, and diligence. Catch those limiting thoughts, change them by speaking your truths, and watch how the integration of desired realities unfolds.
You are a potent creator with the ability to manifest anything you desire with time, practice, patience, grace, love, and, importantly, support. Surround yourself with the support you need on this transformative journey. As we move forward, let's engage in a brief exercise.

PRACTICE POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS

Affirmations are positive statements that can help reprogram your mind for success. By repeating affirmations regularly, you can replace negative self-talk with empowering beliefs. For example, instead of saying, "I can't do it," replace it with "I am capable of achieving anything I set my mind to."

To make affirmations more effective, use them in the present tense, as if you have already achieved your desired outcome. Repeat them aloud or write them down daily. Over time, your mind will start to accept these positive statements as truth, leading to a shift in your mindset and behavior.

ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION

Allow yourself to take a deep breath in, exhale, and repeat. With each breath, center yourself. Now, ask yourself a question and permit the first answer to surface without judgment.
The question is: "I wish I could do___________ but I can't because___________"
Fill in the blanks in the sentence and observe the emotions tied to this statement.
Now, declare with conviction, "That's not true. My truth is..."
Feel the shift in energy! This exercise unveils subconscious beliefs, offering you the opportunity to cancel them and choose empowering alternatives.

MAKING OBSERVING THOUGHTS A DAILY PRACTICE

Observing your thoughts shouldn't be a one-time practice; it should be a daily habit. You can incorporate this practice into your daily routine, whether it's while brushing your teeth, driving your car, taking a walk, or washing the dishes. By consistently observing your thoughts, you can take control of the ones that don't serve your highest good and shift them to create a positive frequency. This shift in frequency will attract the things you truly want in life.

THE POWER OF CONTROLLING YOUR THOUGHTS

Controlling your thoughts is a transformative process that can change your life. By observing your thoughts, you gain insight into the patterns and beliefs that shape your reality. You have the power to choose which thoughts to entertain and which ones to let go of. As you become more conscious of your thoughts, you can replace negative patterns with positive ones, leading to a more fulfilling and joyful existence.

EMBRACING YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL

When you take control of your thoughts, you tap into your true potential. You realize that you are not defined by your past or by the negative thoughts that may arise. Instead, you become the creator of your reality, shaping it with positive and empowering thoughts. By observing your thoughts and choosing to change them, you open yourself up to a world of possibilities and unlock the doors to your dreams.

THE JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY

Controlling your thoughts is not an overnight process; it's a journey of self-discovery. As you continue to observe your thoughts and make conscious choices, you will uncover layers of limiting beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you. With each step forward, you will gain more clarity, confidence, and control over your thoughts and your life. Remember, this is a daily practice. You are not meant to achieve mastery of your thoughts overnight. It takes dictation and daily practice to be a curious observer of your thoughts. When you do so, you get to constantly change the thoughts that are serving you. When you come across the same repeated thought over and over again, instead of judging yourself, get curious about why it’s coming up again. When you get curious, you will have a self discovery and feel empowered to choose something different.

LEARNING HOW TO CONTROL YOUR THOUGHTS

In conclusion, learning how to control your thoughts is a powerful tool for transforming your reality. By observing your thoughts as a curious observer, you can break free from limiting beliefs and negative patterns. Through practices like meditation and daily observation, you can gain mastery over your mind and create a more positive and fulfilling life. Embrace the power of controlling your thoughts and unlock your true potential. Remember, you are the creator of your reality, and your thoughts shape your world.

Your mind is very powerful. Your mind can create all sorts of different things. It can create magic, it can create miracles, it can create blessings, it can create chaos, it can create instability, it can create nervousness and worry. It is a miraculous machine. It is a miraculous computer that you have the capability of reprogramming. Your mind wants to support you. Your mind wants to support you and give you everything that you want. Your subconscious feeds the mind programming, feeds the mind different sets of rules to create your reality. Those rules, those settings, those programings are based on the past and previous experiences. With that being said, do you want to create from the past or do you want to create from the present moment? Chances are you want to create from the present moment and not from the past. Because when we live in the past and not in the present, we don't get to see where our progress has landed. We don't get to experience all of the blessings and use those blessings to create the new future. What I mean by that is the past shackles us to the past.

Your mind, body, soul operates from the past, so does the ego. When it operates from the past, it has previous conditionings, also known as computer codes in the brain, in the subconscious that tells the mind what to tell you all day long. Some of these programs are from when you were a kid. Yes, from when you were a kid. Some of these program learnings are from your adulthood as well. The main thing that we want to do is pause and observe thoughts. When you give yourself permission to observe your thoughts as a curious student, you have the opportunity to change them. How can you observe your thoughts? One of my favorite places to observe thoughts is in the shower. I will take a meditative shower where I give myself permission to just be the observer of my thoughts. I might notice that I'm on repeat from something that bothered me for the day. Or there's this belief that my thoughts are telling me who I am. It could be positive, it could be negative. Most of our thoughts, the majority of our thoughts are reruns, repeats, and they're usually mostly negative. When we observe the thoughts as a curious student, we can then change them, and we can literally break ourselves free from the shackles of the past because we then have the opportunity to notice the thought and bring it to the conscious.

Then we get to be more conscious of that thought so that we don't plate into that belief, that pattern, that chaos, that loop. One of the other ways that I love to observe thoughts to break free from them is to meditate. I know you might be thinking like, but my mind is not supposed to wander when I meditate. No, it can wander. Your mind is going to naturally wander. In meditation, we want to bring the mind back to the present moment. But some days when we're meditating, the mind is off the charts. It's chaotic, it's all over the place. Instead of getting upset with yourself because you can't control the mind in that particular moment, be the observer of the thoughts. Notice what the thoughts are doing. Notice what your thoughts are saying to you, what you're saying to yourself. Then get curious how those thoughts are impacting your reality. Because when you get curious about how the thoughts are impacting the reality reality, then you get to start seeing the impact in your everyday life. Maybe you have this thought of not feeling good enough or you can't do that. Maybe you hear your thought going, You can't do that.

That's not acceptable. You're not good enough. Whatever it is, you're going to simply tell the thought after you observe it that that's not true. That's not my truth. That's not true. Then you're going to tell yourself something positive. This is a crucial step. Whatever it is that you're wanting to be true, or you can even share to the mind a fact that is true, that makes you feel good so that you can start shifting out of that frequency, shifting out of that loop, shifting out of that chaos, shifting out of that behavior and/or pattern. Your thoughts and your words that you speak out loud cast spells. Let me say that very clearly, and this is not about being a witch, it's not. Every word, every thought holds a particular frequency of truth for you. That particular frequency of truth sends it out to the universe. Sorry, there's a beeping. There's a truck in my driveway. I'm not sure if the audio is picking it up. Well, that's beeping. Okay. Let me take a sip of water. Every word, thought, and action sends a signal out into the universe. We are operate on universal laws, spiritual, universal laws.

One of those laws is the law of attraction. The universe, creation doesn't recognize the thought as negative or positive. It just recognizes it as truth. Even if it's not true for you, even if based on the past, the universe will still recognize it as truth because you're sending the signal that casts the spell that says, Hey, bring this back to me. I want this. This is my truth. When you literally tell your brain, that's not true? No, I'm not participating in that today. That's not true. Then tell your brain what is true. It doesn't even have to be true in that particular moment. It could be something that you're setting an intention. Because remember, the universe doesn't know the difference between positive, negative, doesn't know the difference between the present, the past, and the future. So what you want to create in the future, you want to ingrain into the present moment because you create the future based on the present, and you are creating your presence based on the past. And so this conundrum that we can be in around a vicious cycle of staying in past behaviors, past frequencies, past loops can keep us stuck.

I so often hear my students, my clients will say, I feel stuck. I feel blocked. You're not blocked. Stop telling yourself you're blocked. Stop telling yourself you're stuck. You're not stuck. The more you say that, the more you're telling the universe to make that true for you. Do you want that to be true for you? Absolutely not, and I know you don't. So instead of saying you're blocked, instead of saying you're stuck, I want you to pick what you truly want, what you truly desire, what your truth is so that your future can be exactly what you want, exactly how you want to create it. It's based on your words, your mind, your deeds, your actions, your thoughts. It doesn't matter if you're saying it out loud. Your actions, your thoughts hold significant power in your reality. The more you recognize that, the more you'll recognize how freaking powerful you are because you're an amazing manifesto. Amazing. If you don't feel amazing, I promise you you're an amazing manifesto. You created the reality you're in now. You're going to create the reality you're in in the year from now. So what is it that you want?

Get very bold, get very, very clear because you're going to create that. It's not going to happen overnight. You can have miracles that can happen like that. But we have to be patient when we're rewiring the mind, and we have to be consistent, we have to be diligent, we have to catch the thoughts, we have to change the thoughts by speaking the truths. The more you do this, the more you're going to integrate the reality, the desires that you truly, truly want to create in your life. You are a powerful creator. You can create anything that you want with time, practice, and patience, and grace, and love, and so much more, and support. The big one is support too. With that being said, I want to take you through a little exercise. I want you to just give yourself permission to take a nice, deep breath in, cleansing breath out, another nice, deep breath in and a cleansing breath out. Then you're going to answer this question. You'll ask yourself this question, and I want you to give yourself permission to allow the answer, whatever answer that wants to come out first to come out and not worry about it.

Here's what I want you to answer the question. You're going to say this out loud. I wish I could do blank, but I can't because. I wish I could do blank. Fill in the blank. But, I can't because, and then fill the rest in. Don't worry, I'm going to give you a second to do this. Notice how that statement made you feel. Now, we're going to say, That's not true. No, that's not my truth. What is your truth? Go ahead and proclaim that now. You can say it internally or out loud. What is your truth? What is it that you want to create? That's awesome. I'm so excited. Yes, you can have that, and yes, you can create that. Here's the thing. This didn't take very long. We actually encouraged a belief to come forward by filling the sentence in, a couple of blanks in. This is even more easy. I don't want to say more easy. It can feel a little bit less effort when you're just observing. But sometimes we have to trip the brain to be like, I wish I could, but, or, I hate when I, or, I'm constantly doing blank and it drives me blank.

You can fill blanks in. You can ask yourself questions that allow truth to come out to see where the subconscious is at without worrying about judging what comes out. That's really important because if we want to get the truth and we can't observe the thought because maybe we're nervous to see it, or maybe we want to practice it in a different way, ask yourself questions and be honest with yourself and then cancel it. Because what you're doing is you're bringing the subconscious beliefs to the surface so that you can know them as truth because that's what's happening in your psyche, that's what's happening in your mind. Then you get to say, No, it's not true. You get to cancel it and you get to choose a different belief. It's powerful when you do this. I want to encourage you to not make this a one-time practice, and I've said this already, I want to encourage you to make this a daily practice. This is a daily practice that doesn't have to take very, very long. You can do this while you're brushing your teeth. You can do this while you're driving your car. You can do this while you're taking a walk.

You can do this while you're washing the dishes. You are in control of your destiny, and that requires you to take control of the thoughts that don't serve your highest good and shift them and change them so that your frequency changes and you attract the things that you deserve and that you want, my friend.
