WHAT IS MANIFESTING?

When it comes to personal growth and achieving our goals, the concept of manifestation has gained significant popularity. However, it is essential to have a clear understanding of what manifesting truly entails and what it does not.

WHAT IS MANIFESTING / MANIFESTATION

Manifesting is your ability to co-create with the Universe your heart desires. Manifesting can be defined as the process of bringing our desires, goals, and intentions into reality through the power of focused thought, belief, and action. It involves aligning our energy and consciousness with the outcomes we wish to experience, thereby attracting them into our lives. Manifestation is based on the principle that our thoughts and emotions have the ability to shape our external reality.

WHAT MANIFESTATION IS NOT

1. Instant Magic: Manifestation is not a quick fix or a magical solution. It requires consistent effort, patience, and belief in the process. It is a journey that unfolds over time as we align our thoughts, emotions, and actions with our desired outcomes.

2. Wishful Thinking: Manifestation is not about simply wishing for something without taking any action. It involves setting clear intentions, visualizing the desired outcome, and taking inspired action steps towards its realization. It requires active participation and commitment to personal growth.

3. Control Over Others: Manifestation is not about manipulating or controlling other people's thoughts, feelings, or actions. It is about focusing on our own energy, beliefs, and actions to create positive changes in our lives. It respects the free will and autonomy of others.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF MANIFESTATION

1. Clarity of Intentions: Clearly define your goals and desires. Visualize them as if they have already been achieved, allowing yourself to feel the emotions associated with their fulfillment.

2. Positive Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to reprogram your subconscious mind and align it with your desired outcomes. Repeat affirmations that reflect your goals and beliefs, reinforcing the manifestation process.

3. Inspired Action: Take consistent, inspired action steps towards your goals. Break them down into manageable tasks and remain committed to their completion. Trust the process and have faith in your ability to manifest your desires.

4. Gratitude and Detachment: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for what you already have while detaching from the outcome. Trust that the universe will deliver what is in alignment with your highest good and surrender any attachment to specific outcomes.

Does manifesting work? YES! Of course, it does. Manifestation is a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation. By aligning our thoughts, emotions, and actions with our desired outcomes, we can manifest the life we truly desire. It is important to approach manifestation with clarity, belief, and inspired action. Remember, manifestation is a lifelong journey, and consistent practice can lead to profound changes in various aspects of life. Hey, Amy Robeson here. Thank you for joining me on this podcast where we talk about spirituality, the awakening process, mental health, and so much more. Join me weekly to get your weekly dose of spirituality and medicine. I look forward to seeing you on The Inside. Hello, everyone, and welcome to today's episode. I am so excited you are here. Last week, I did a free healing, and someone asked an amazing question, and that was, What is manifesting? And I love that this person asked this question because so often we have pop culture words and terms and phrases that we hear a lot. And sometimes we actually don't know what they mean, or we might think we know what they mean, but they actually mean something else. And so today I'm going to talk about what manifestation and manifesting is and what it is not. And I'm also going to share some tips around manifesting as well. So let's jump in. So what is manifesting? Manifesting is your ability to co-create your desired intentions into your reality by consciously aligning yourself to it. What manifesting is not, it is not instant magic. And I know that some people want it to be instant magic, and it can be instant magic, depending on what it is.

And I'll give you an example how it can't be instant magic. If you are wanting to, let's say, be a doctor and you haven't even gone to school to be a doctor, but you want to be a doctor, you're not instantly going to manifest that. You're going to have to take inspired action. In order to take inspired action, you might have to work through some fears, some misconceptions, some old patterns. It's not going to be instant because you have to take inspired action. So what that means is you have to have effort, you have to have patience, and you have to be constantly moving forward with that heart's desire. If you're not, it's not going to happen. And that brings me into the second misconception of manifesting, and that is wishful thinking. It's not just wishful thinking. You can't just go, I wish for this to happen. And yes, every once in a while, you might get super lucky, and it just instantly happens. However, if you are not aligning yourself and you are not taking inspired action, you are not working on the mind, body, soul. You're not changing your frequency. Let me explain what I mean by changing your frequency.

If you desire to vibrate at, let's say, the color pink, let's say that's what you want your vibration to be. But because you're so stressed out and because you have a lot of old patterning, a lot of old conditioning, you vibrate at yellow. I'm just using color here as an example. Does yellow mean that you're bad? No. But you want to vibrate at pink because pink is the frequency that attracts XYZ, heart desire of yours. So you have to change your frequency. And that frequency can be changed by thought, by belief, by action, by working on your spiritual practices, by affirmations, and so much more. So in order to get out of wishful thinking and thinking it's instantly going to happen, you have to put these things into practice. The other thing manifesting is not is trying to control or to manipulate other people's lives and outcomes. I do want to preference this. If you say a prayer, that's beautiful. That's okay. You could say a prayer, send an attention for your family like, I want my family to have good health. Beautiful. Magnificent. I think prayer is awesome. Intention is awesome. But we can't manipulate.

So what I mean by that is, let's say you have this big crush on someone and you want them to be your romantic partner. You're like, I'm going to manifest them and I'm going to make them want me. I'm going to make them love me. You can't make anybody do anything. Can we set the intention that, Oh, I really love this person. I have the biggest crush on this person. I would love to manifest them as my romantic partner. However, if that does not serve my highest good, I am open to someone that is going to love me, that's going to take care of me, that's going to have deep, intimate conversations with me that's going to do X, Y, Z. We want to always say what our intention is and ask for this or greater. Because sometimes our thinking of what we can create is very narrow, is very limited to what the universe, what God, what creation knows you are capable of creating. And when you give yourself permission to ask for whatever that is or greater, be open to greater because we don't have to manipulate and we don't have to control someone in order to get what it is that we desire to get.

Also, know that because I want to just put this little asterisk next to this one, too. Sometimes we manifest things through other people. And what I mean by that is, so let's say you are a stay at home parent. You could be a mom, you could be a dad, whatever. Maybe you're a stay at home parent and your partner works. And you set the intention that you are going to have some unexpected money come to you in unexpected ways. You set that intention, you let go of the outcome. That's really important. Let go of the outcome. You let go of the outcome. And all of a sudden, your spouse comes home maybe a day later, maybe a week later, maybe seven months later. They go, Guess what, honey? I got a raise today, an unexpected raise. I didn't even ask for a raise. That money came to you because of your intention. And so know that we can expect things in the unexpected, in the unexpected ways. And it's so magnificent when we leave ourselves open to receiving our hearts, desires in unexpected ways where we don't narrow it down. It has to be like this because of this and da da da da da da da da.

Don't do that. Take inspired action. Believe that you can do it. Align yourself to it. But allow it to be magical. Allow it to come to you in unexpected ways. Allow it to be better than you can ever think of, because when you do that, oh, my Lord, things really start to change. I know for me, I'm always so surprised because even when this is stuff that I teach and this is stuff that I love to do, I'm blessed in so many unexpected ways where I'm just like, Holy cow, that is amazing. I did not expect that at all. I was wishing for this, and I got this thing that was way better. And thank you, God. Thank you, universe. And I think that it's so important that we acknowledge when we receive something, we acknowledge throughout the manifesting process all of our breakthroughs. We acknowledge and appreciate all of the breakthroughs. Because so often, because of that instant gratification society that we live in, that people think, Oh, well, it's not happening quick enough, so I must be doing something wrong. And da da da da. So not true. Maybe the very first step to manifesting that thing was to let go of something, and maybe that took a lot of energy to let that go.

And so when you go, Oh, I let that go. I actually have space for this thing to come in. That requires and is necessary to acknowledge because you're acknowledging the baby steps you're taking. It is not meant to be this sprint to the finish line. We are meant to enjoy the journey, enjoy the breakthroughs, because the breakthroughs allow us to change the frequency along the way, which is amazing. It really, really is amazing. So now the question is, what are some practical ways to manifest? Well, you've heard me say this a lot, and it's setting intention. It's setting very, very clear intention. So what is it that you want and why do you want it? Because so often times, people will want something because they heard it from somewhere else, but do you actually really want that? Because if you don't want it, don't align yourself to it. Don't waste your energy and your time on it. But if you really want it, be clear why you want it because that helps to create more space for it to come into your life. It also enables you to get clear on the intention because clarity is everything.

And the clearer you are on the intention, the most beautiful ways the universe will bless you. And I'm going to give you an example. And this is a tangible thing, but it's an easy way to explain something. So let's say you want to manifest a car. Well, you could just say, I want to manifest a new car. And then guess what? Someone knocks on your door, calls you on your phone, sends you an email and says, hey, I want to donate my hooptie, my old car to you. Do you want it? That's probably not the car you really want it. So why not get specific? I want to manifest a 2023 red Toyota Camry, I don't know. Whatever it is that you want to manifest, be very specific on what you want to manifest. Because if you just leave it open ended, you might not get what you want. So be clear on what you want. And don't be afraid to say, I want this, and say it with confidence. So don't go, I would like. And then you curl yourself inward. You start to whisper. You lower your voice. No, say it with an open heart.

Say it proudly. Say it like you mean it. Say it like you own it. Say it like you already have it. I am manifesting my brand new car. It is a 2023 Toyota Camry. It has black leather, da, da, data, whatever it is that you want. Just go ahead and say it. And just so you guys know, I'm not promoting Toyota. I'm just using that as an example. Okay, so the next way to practically do manifesting is to have affirmations or mantras. So by having an affirmation, it helps clear out the fear and the thoughts and the old subconscious and conscious beliefs that may prevent you from getting what you want. And so if you're wanting to manifest vibrant health, maybe you have a mantra that says, I am healthy. I feel good in my body. My body is getting stronger and stronger each and every day. And then you say it and you breathe and you say this all throughout the day. Or maybe you're wanting to manifest more money into your life. And you can just say, money flows to me easily and effortlessly. Or maybe you're wanting to start a new career.

Maybe say, I have the courage to leave my job and start the most successful business ever. Maybe that's something you're nervous to do. Maybe you're fearful of leaving your job. Whatever the affirmation is, it's going to support in changing negative thoughts. It's going to support in changing patterning in the brain. It's going to support in changing your frequency. So remember, if you were yellow and all of a sudden you want to be pink, you have to change your words, your deeds, your thoughts, your actions. By having those affirmations, those mantras, you are literally rewiring your brain. You're rewiring your brain for good. You're rewiring your frequency because you're going to vibrate at a higher frequency because you're saying positive things to yourself. You could say them out loud. You can say them to people. You can say them internally. You can't over say them. So the more and more and more you say it, the more that you're going to change the frequency. And you want to say it or with passion. Don't say it with nervous energy and don't say it like you're collapsing inward. Say it like you mean it and feel it.

Put meaning, put feeling behind it. And so if you were to say, I feel so good in my body, maybe that makes you feel strong. Maybe it makes you feel happy. Feel those feelings that are attached to that. I know for me, I have used all sorts of different mantras. And my mantra right now, because I want to embody more joy, is I radiate joy. I radiate joy. I radiate joy. I radiate joy. As I'm saying it, I can literally feel my heart is illuminating. I can feel my body just bringing joy and amplifying joy in it. And it's just really simple. So maybe you're wanting to bring more peace into your life, you can do that type of mantra, whatever it is, go ahead and do it. The last thing I want to share with you for a practical application for manifesting is to practice gratitude and to practice detachment. And I already talked about detachment, like detaching yourself from outcome. So by saying, I ask for this or greater, and so it is like you're detaching yourself from it being one particular way. Gratitude has such a beautiful frequency. It raises your frequency.

So by saying, I'm so grateful. Thank you for gifting me with this universe, or just appreciating those small mini breakthroughs you have are those small inspired actions that you take. They don't have to be big. You know how I'm saying small? They can be very, very small. So maybe you're wanting to start a new career. So maybe your one small action is to pull out your resume. Or let's say you're wanting to start cooking more food at home. So maybe you look up some healthy recipes. And then maybe a week from now then you finally actually make yourself a grocery list. And then you go to the grocery store and you get it. Those are all tiny, inspired actions. So they don't have to be big. And when you're doing those inspired actions, just thank your sofa doing them. They're like, Thank you. Thanks for showing up, girl or guy. You're awesome. Literally give yourself a pep talk. Thank your sofa doing it. Thank the universe. Thank God. Thank anyone that's supporting you in this. Show appreciation. Say things that you're grateful for throughout the day because it literally changes your frequency. It changes your energy. Everything is energy.

And so your thoughts are energy, your words are energy, your deeds are energy, your action is energy. So all of that creates your reality. And your reality is this particular color, this particular shape, this particular frequency. And so when you shift and decide this is what I want, I'm grateful. I'm going to affirm it. I'm going to take inspired action. I'm going to be open to the unexpected because the unexpected is going to be miraculous. It's going to be a miracle. It's going to be magnificent. And I know I deserve it. And by doing that, you're telling the universe, hey, send it my way. I'm open to it. I'm making space for it. And then be careful what you wish for, too, because when you say you want something, the universe will assist you in changing your frequency. So it might be looking at some old baggage that you may have been ignoring, and that's okay. So have the courage to look at, have the courage to work through it, have the courage to make this space so that you can have the reality that you truly wish and desire to have because you absolutely deserve it, my friend.
