HOW TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION WHEN THE WORLD IS IN CHAOS
RAISE YOUR VIBRATION
The state of the world is constantly at an influx. It only takes a few seconds of scrolling social media to see a concerning event that can pull at your heartstrings. Natural disasters, political tension, missing children, and every manner of terrible news assault your senses and can quickly lower your vibration. Can you hold space for the people, places, or events experiencing hardship while raising your vibration?
Absolutely. But sometimes, what's happening in the world can affect our mental and physical health, especially for sensitive and empathic people. Striking a balance between sending love, light, and hope out into the world while protecting our energy can be challenging. It's another facet of our spiritual journey where boundaries are critical.
WAYS TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION
#1: SET PARAMETERS TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION
Raising your vibration and protecting your boundaries go hand-in-hand. While being aware of world events seems like the socially responsible thing to do, you can set parameters around what you do and do not allow in your head space. This has been a critical component of my mental and emotional well-being.
I set parameters around what I'm willing and not willing to consume. I am always going to send love and light to a situation. I will always pray for peace and hold empathy, compassion, and love for any tragic situation that captures my heart and attention. However, it's necessary to put parameters around what information I expose myself to. The parameters determine if I watch the news for a few minutes or hours during the week. I pay attention to my energy and what my body is telling me.
#2: PREPARATION TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION
When you consider ways to raise your vibration, checking the daily news is probably not at the top of the list. However, when you set the parameters around what information you need to know, you can decide beforehand what information to consume. You don't have to be aware of the events that span the globe to be mindful of what affects you directly.
It is important to stay aware of current events and happenings around the world. If you live in a state that's about to have a blizzard, staying up to date and preparing for a possible natural disaster is necessary. But how much information can you consume before it becomes unhealthy? Preparation and excessive worry are two different things, and we need to differentiate between the two.
Being prepared and being worried are two different things!
#3: CHOOSE A DIFFERENT EMOTION TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION
The next important thing to raise your vibration even when a disaster happens is acknowledging your emotions, processing them, canceling them, and then choosing a different emotion. As a sensitive person or empath, it's important to recognize, "This makes me sad. I'm feeling sad. I'm feeling X-Y-Z," so I can acknowledge what emotions are coming up. Then I could choose a different emotion after I process that emotion.

#4: AFFIRMATIONS TO RAISE YOUR VIBRATION
I also love a beautiful quote by Albert Einstein that I return to often. "The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe." So do you believe you live in a friendly or hostile universe? If something happens in the world, I will remind myself I live in a friendly universe. This assists me in feeling safer and grounds me back into my reality.
Reading, watching, or listening to the news can put you in a state of fight or flight. That state of fight or flight is where all your gremlins and trauma start flooding to the surface because our brain likes to make these connections. When the mind, body, and soul don't feel safe, they spin out of control and go down the "what if?" path.
That's when you remind yourself that you are safe. You breathe in and out and tell yourself, "I am safe. I live in a friendly universe. I am present in this body at this moment." This reminder can flip the switch from spinning to calm. It can also serve as a reminder that the world's problems aren't yours to solve. I can watch a movie and contemplate it months later, trying to problem-solve a fictional situation. It's an empath thing! It happens!

A CHANNELED MESSAGE FROM THE MASTERS, TEACHERS, AND LOVED ONES
We're all changemakers in our own right, and we all create change in the world differently. Some of us do it in a big way, and some do it more intimately. How that looks for you will be unique to that moment in that situation. But the key reminder is to come back into the body, come back into the present moment, get curious, and invite healing.
As I contemplated how to raise your vibration, even when the world is in chaos, the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones visited me with this beautiful channeled message for you all.
“The love that you feel in your heart has the capacity to heal the cells in your body that hold trauma. When you heal the cells of the body that hold trauma, you are constantly inviting more life, a more vital life force to work through you and to work through the planet. This vital life force is a force that has the capacity to raise the vibration of lower entities, lower agendas, and lower ways of thinking. Breathe that energy in. Live from this space of love and light and own your capacity to be the change maker that you are meant to be on your aligned path. Breathe that in.”

Hello everyone, and welcome to today's episode. I am so excited you are here. Today, we are going to answer one of our listener's questions, which I absolutely love. The question is, "While we're not ignoring what is going on in the world, how do we keep it from lowering our vibration and light?" What a great question!
The state of the world is constantly at an influx. Like there's something always going on. And if you live in a certain country, like certain political things, there's always something going on with that. And can we hold space for politics and peace to come to mutual understanding and to be more love and to be more light? Absolutely, we can hold space for that.
But sometimes what's going on in the world can really affect our mental health, can affect our physical health, and it can be really, really challenging, especially for sensitives and empaths. So how I handle this particular thing is I set parameters around what I'm willing to consume and what I'm not willing to consume. And what I mean by that is I am always going to send love and light to a situation. I will always pray for peace. I will hold empathy and compassion, and love for any tragic situation or anything that's going on in the world that really captures my heart and captures my attention.
However, I have to, and it's beyond necessary for me to put parameters around what I'm able to consume and what I'm not able to consume for my emotional and mental well-being. So what that looks like is I only consume a certain amount of news. That news maybe once a week, depending on what's going on in the world. It may be a little bit more frequent, but it may be less frequent depending on what's going on.
So, for example, I have not consumed news, and I have not watched the news in general until COVID started happening. I hadn't watched it for years. I would just read the news on the internet, things like that. But then, when COVID happened, we were doing all these shutdowns, like I was being more attentive to looking at what was going on. Eventually, I realized this was not healthy for my mental well-being because I could feel myself starting to spin out of control. And I think that it's really important to understand your nervous system and how much you are able to consume that's healthy and not healthy.
So for me, I'm very clear on how much I'm able to consume before it becomes unhealthy. I do think that staying up to date with certain things about what's happening in the world and what's happening locally is really important. For example, if you live in a state that's about to have a blizzard, that is a safety thing. That's absolutely necessary for you to understand what is going on so you can prepare for that blizzard or you can prepare for a possible natural disaster. I think that that's really important.
If a natural disaster happens, how much are you able to consume before it becomes unhealthy and we don't want to get to a state of unhealthiness. I also find that as a sensitive or an empath, it's really important to acknowledge, like, "This makes me really sad. I'm feeling sad. I'm feeling X-Y-Z." So I can acknowledge what emotions are coming up, and then I could choose a different emotion after I process that emotion.
The next thing I think that's very important in terms of keeping your vibration high even when things are happening is, acknowledging your emotions, processing them, canceling them, and then choosing a different emotion. There's also a really beautiful quote that I absolutely love by Albert Einstein. And I think that this is a really important quote, and that is "The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe."
So do you believe you live in a friendly or hostile universe? For me, if something is going on in the world, I will remind myself I live in a friendly universe. I live in a friendly universe. I live in a friendly universe. This assists me in feeling more safe. This assists me in grounding back into my reality. Let me say that slightly different. Sometimes if you are consuming and you're reading the news, or you're watching the news, or you're listening to the news, reading an article, it can put you in a state of fight or flight.
And that state of fight or flight is where all your gremlins, all your trauma starts flooding to the surface because our brain likes to make connections. And then that's when the mind, body, and soul don't feel safe. It starts to spin out of control and goes down the "what if?" Path. So if you remind yourself you're safe, you remind yourself you're in your body, you breathe, and the breath is key. Breathe. Breathe in. I am safe. Breathe in. I am grounded. Breathe in. I am in my body. And then remind yourself you live in a friendly universe. Send compassion and love to that situation and remind yourself you're present in your body.
I think that this reminder can flip the switch from spinning and not spinning. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves several times with several breaths or minutes of breath to bring the nervous system down and regulate the nervous system. I remember reading an article once, and this article triggered so many child wounds that I could not stop thinking about the story, and the situation, for months and months and months. And that will, as an empath, happen. Like I can watch a movie, and I can be thinking about the movie for months and months and months trying to problem-solve a fiction movie. This is an empath thing. That happens.
And so, for me, being very selective about what I'm consuming and not consuming is important. But sometimes, you come across something that is super triggering, and that trigger is there to support change. So if you do find yourself in a state of fight or flight, you're triggered; remind yourself the trigger is there for me to heal. What am I healing? What am I changing? Change might be the way you perceive things. Change might be the way that you protect yourself.
Maybe that trigger triggered something within you to see how far along you've come in your life and that you're no longer in that bad situation from that trauma that created that trauma response with the trigger. I always say triggers are an invitation to heal. Sometimes it's hard to understand what that invitation is at that moment in time. And so that's where we have to get super curious. Change can also mean that if you're triggered, and it's an invitation to heal, maybe it's an invitation for you to create change in the world or create change in a way that you feel drawn to create change.
We're all changemakers in our own right, and we all create change in the world in different ways. And some of us do it in a grandiose way, and some of us do it in a more intimate way. How that looks for you will be unique to that moment in that situation. But the key reminder is to come back into the body, come back into the present moment, get curious, and invite healing.
Another way that I like to raise my vibration, besides watching what I'm consuming, and reminding myself I'm safe, is to surround myself with a protection of love and light. And what I mean by this is I ground into my body on a consistent basis throughout the day. We can have triggers all throughout the day, and most of the time, these triggers deregulate our nervous system. These triggers are just everyday little stresses that pop us out of our hearts. And the more that we ground into the body, the more that we use the breath, and the more that we remind ourselves we're safe.
And what I do is I literally will surround myself with a bubble of light. A bubble of light. And this bubble of light is the vital life force that created me and that created the universe that created you. And it is not separate from me. It is not separate from you. This is you owning your light. This is me owning my light. And I will bring that into my awareness. I think that sometimes just reminding yourself you're safe can be super powerful and profound. But adding an extra layer on top of this protection allows the mental body to go, "Oh, I'm experiencing something different. OOH, what is this light?"
And then the emotional intelligence of your being goes, "This feels yummy." And it might take a minute for the emotional body and the mental body, and the spiritual body to consume this protection to re-regulate the nervous system, but it happens, and it will happen. It has to happen. So breathing and this protection are so profound and so helpful and so healthy.
I want to end the episode today with a beautiful saying or channeled message from spirit, from the divine. And that is the love that you feel in your heart has the capacity to heal the cells in your body that hold trauma. When you heal the cells of the body that hold trauma, you are constantly inviting more life, a more vital life force to work through you and to work through the planet. This vital life force is a force that has the capacity to raise the vibration of lower entities, lower agendas, and lower ways of thinking. Breathe that energy in.
Live from this space of love and light and own your capacity to be the change maker that you are meant to be on your aligned path. Breathe that in.
