HOW TO CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS TO CREATE THE LIFE YOU LOVE

CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS, CHANGE YOUR LIFE

You can change your reality.  
You can change your life.  

Your thoughts shape your experiences, and many of them undermine your path to manifesting the life you want to live. 

  • You can live heaven on Earth. 
  • You can change your thoughts. 
  • You can change your experience.
  • You can change your LIFE. 

It’s time to get back in the driver’s seat of your thoughts, experiences, and emotions so you can live the life of your dreams!

BREAK FREE FROM THE PRISON IN YOUR MIND

It can be super easy to get stuck in a negative thought cycle which signals the universe to send more of that which you are thinking about. Those self-deprecating thoughts can say “yes, this is my reality and this is what I accept.”  But you can catch those thoughts, break those chains that imprison your mind, and free yourself from the negative thought loops that are creating your negative experiences.

3 C’s and an F

I have a method I like to call 3 C’s and an F.  These 4 steps create a new pattern, a new experience, a new frequency for the universe to hone in on.  This process changes the narrative in your brain, encourages a self-discovery while both validating and releasing all the emotions surrounding the feelings and patterns that keep us stuck.  

CATCH - FEEL - CANCEL - CHOOSE

  1. Catch the thought.  
  2. Feel the feelings. 
  3. Cancel the thought. 
  4. Choose a different thought and feeling.   

Catch the Thought

When you look in the mirror or think about your financial obligations, what is your first thought?  Is it a positive or negative thought? Does it make you feel joy or despair?  

If your first thought is self-deprecating, finding some fault in yourself, in your life, or your circumstances, catch it.  Grab it.  And acknowledge that this thought is not serving your highest good.  

Don’t just gloss over this thought.  Catch it.  Look at it.  Understand how crucial this one thought is in your experience.

Feel the Feelings

Thoughts create feelings.  And society has taught us to run from every feeling that isn’t immediately positive.  But your feelings are valid and need to be acknowledged.  

It’s okay to feel your feelings.  Repeat that as much as needed.  

It’s OKAY to FEEL your FEELINGS.  

It’s an important part of changing your story.  You may feel angry.  You might feel sad.  You might cry or want to yell.  

Let yourself feel all the feelings around the thought and acknowledge “this feels awful. I feel bad about this.” Once your system fully processes the feeling around the thought, then you are ready to release the feeling and cancel the thought.

Cancel the Thought

Now we are going to tell our minds, our experience, and the universe “Nope, strike that.  Cancel it. I don’t want to play that part in that story. Delete.”  Once you have caught the thought and examined how that thought made you feel in your mind, body and soul, now we need to cancel it. 

As soon as you sense that thought creeping back up into your mind, trying to create that negative feeling all over again, you stop and tell it, ‘no. You are canceled.  Universe, I cancel this thought….”

Because, you now have your third C: A new thought that supports the life you truly desire.

Choose a New Thought and or Feeling

Out with the old, in with the new.  For every negative thought that created a negative reaction, choose a new one to replace it that will support you in the reality aligned to your desires.  

For example, your old thought could be “I have no idea how I’m going to pay my bills this month” and you replace it with “I have unlimited potential to attract money into my life.” 

Your thoughts create your feelings, which then create your experience, and ultimately create your reality.  

When we choose not to validate the negative thoughts, we are choosing the reality where we are loved, supported, guided, and abundant!

SAY IT ONCE, SAY IT TWICE, SAY IT ALL DAY LONG

As persistent as self-deprecating thoughts can be, a mantra is a powerful tool for immediate cancellation of the thoughts that don’t serve you. And honestly, they are just so fun to say. 

You’ll want to say your new mantra over and over and over again.  If you catch a self-deprecating thought coming on, start saying your mantra.  

“I am worthy, I am talented, I create infinite possibilities in my life.”  

Whatever your new mantra is, choose a sentence or two that supports your desired life and your intended reality. Say it to yourself, internally or aloud, over and over and over again.

Take the time to witness yourself. Take the time to be the observer of your thoughts. Catch them, feel them, cancel them, and choose the new. 

Choose YOU, so you can start shaping the reality you truly desire and want.

Our thoughts shape our reality. Which is a good thing to know about, right? But it's also one of those things where well, yeah, I know my thoughts shape my reality, but sometimes I get stuck in a loop. Sometimes I get stuck on a thought that I can't seem to escape. And we are all struggling with this at some point in time in our life.

And I'm a big believer that if you catch your thoughts, you have an opportunity to change your reality. The closer you pay attention to your thoughts, the closer you become to understanding your inner landscape and what it is to do to shape your reality.

If you're constantly thinking about how stupid you are or how worthy you are, or how you're not able to pay certain bills, or how you can attract the romantic partner that you want in your life, whatever those thoughts are, those self-destructive thoughts, those are constantly sending signals out into the universe that is sending you back more of those experiences to shape that thought into reality for you.

So how do we shift our thoughts so we have an opportunity to shape the reality that we truly desire and want?

It starts by catching the thought, and catching this thought is so important, and I personally know that sometimes I'll realize I have a thought that I'm constantly repeating in my head that doesn't serve the highest good.

The next part that I'm going to share with you is so important because you can catch a thought and that thought can just be lingering around for years and years and years. The next step is so important because this is the part that transforms the reality and the relationship with the thought.

And not only that, it gives you instant feedback on what that thought is doing for you, and it breaks the chains. And what do I mean by chains? Sometimes our thoughts can create a prison for us, and the more that we give ourselves permission to do this next step, the easier it is to free ourselves from the thought. And so often people are afraid to do this next step.

And the next step is to feel your feelings around that thought. This is crucial because we will often hide, as a society, we will hide from a particular feeling because society teaches us that certain feelings are bad. All feelings are okay. It is okay to feel your feelings. It's okay to feel cranky. It's okay to feel angry. It's okay to feel sad or upset or disenchanted or frustrated or happy or joyful or excited. All of these emotions are okay to feel, and it's so important that you feel your emotions around the thought or around the message that society or your family.

Let me say that differently. It's also okay to feel your feelings around messages that you took in as well. And I'm going to explain this in two different ways. So let's say you have some thoughts around worthiness and you just don't feel good enough. And when you think "I'm scared. I don't feel good enough, I'm unworthy," what are the feelings around that thought or those thoughts?

And you want to just stop and pause and go, "What am I feeling around that thought?"

And it could be simply the same thing. I feel unworthy or I don't feel good enough. Or it could feel like I feel defeated. I feel super defeated when I think about these things. And the reason why we want to feel it is because it gives ourselves it gives us permission to move to the next step, which is canceling the thought.

But before we cancel the thought, let me explain something else. We constantly take on messages from society, from our parents, from our peers, from family members, and from our inner circles. And these messages that we take on also shape our reality as well.

And so let's say you are wanting to attract more money into your life. Look at the messages that you have consumed around money and then look at the feelings around those messages as well, because those are also shaping your reality, too. So not only the thoughts that you think shape your reality, but the messages that you have taken on create emotions. And those emotions end up getting stuck in the body. And so we want to look at those as well.

So let's, for example, say you are wanting to manifest more money into your life and you just can't seem to figure out why you're not able to manifest more money into your life. You're trying to think positive thoughts. You're expressing gratitude when money comes in, but you just can't seem to get over the hump. I would suggest looking at messages.

So some messages around money are money doesn't grow on trees. Having too much money means you're evil or we can't afford that. These types of messages will create certain emotions. So if you think about the message, money doesn't grow on trees. What emotion does that invoke within you? For me, money doesn't grow on trees, instantly gives me, like, a hot pit in my tummy and my solar plex starts burning and I get a little agitated. And quite frankly, it pisses me off when I think about it. Like, pisses me off. Like, that's the emotion that I have, which is anger.

If I think about the message around rich people are evil, that makes me sad. So I have these emotions of anger and sadness around these messages. And if these messages are still within my energy field and I'm still interacting with them on a subconscious level, that's going to also shape my reality.

One, I might not make a ton of friends with rich people, or I might sabotage any opportunity that might be coming in because of the idea that money doesn't grow on trees. And I have to work really, really hard in order to create it.

So the thing about messages and the thing about your thoughts is we want to pay attention to them and then we want to feel the feelings around the messages and the thoughts, because the more that you do this, the more you're going to understand, like, "oh, that's a little sticky, that's a little hot, that's causing a reaction within me." And then you have an opportunity to cancel the thought afterward.

And these exercises that I'm sharing with you are a concept that I call three C's and an F.

So first we catch the thought. Second, we feel the feelings. Third, we cancel the thought. And this is what I find is a really powerful exercise because we can have thoughts all throughout the day and we can instantly catch a destructive thought. And you can tell the universe, please cancel that thought. Please cancel this. This belief system that I played into around these societal messages. You can actually tell the universe, please cancel that thought.

Or if you're noticing societal messages that you took on either recently or as a kid or an adult anywhere. You can also tell the universe to cancel these messages.

And this is you standing in your power in a really humble way and taking back your energy. But first, again, you've got to feel the feelings, because if you skip that step, you're not able to release the feelings or the emotions that are attached and shoved into your energy field in some way, shape, or form. And they could be shoved, they could be gently packed and they could be hiding.

And the more that you do this, the easier it is. You're going to make space for new energies to come in. So once you feel the feelings, you tell the universe. Cancel that thought.

The last and final step that you're going to do is choose a different feeling and choose a different thought. So first, choose the thought. And it could be let's stick with the example of money. It could be money flows to me easily and effortlessly. And when I think about that, it makes me feel excited. So any time I say that statement to myself, I'm going to bring that excitement back in.

Let's also talk about worthiness. Maybe you're working on your worthiness or feeling good enough. Maybe the feeling that you attach to the new thought would be something that brings you peace or ease. So what is this statement? Let me say that slightly different.

Now let's look at our other example around worthiness. So let's say you notice you have a self-destructive thought that says I'm not good enough like I don't feel worthy of this experience.

You notice that when you look at the thought of not feeling worthy, it makes you feel sad. It makes you feel angry. And it makes you feel defeated. Let's say those are the three emotions, and you give yourself permission to, like, fully feel them without running from them. You fully face them. They may bring up some tears. They may make you hot. They might make you cold and make you uneasy. It's okay. It's okay if these feelings make you feel like that. Don't run from them. Remind yourself you're safe to feel these feelings.

Once you feel them, just give yourself permission to process them. So, you know, I'm feeling this. I'm going to breathe. I'm going to let my system feel these fully. And then once you feel them. You're going to cancel the thought. And they are going to choose. A different thought in that thought could be. I am powerful and I am worthy. I am powerful. And I am worthy. I am powerful and I am worthy.

And I'll say the thought to myself out loud or in my head a bunch. And as I'm saying, the thought, I'll notice a feeling that's wanting to percolate as I'm doing that. So I am powerful. I am worthy. And for me, that's building excitement when I say it to myself. I'm feeling nervous, exciting energy, and nervousness is okay to feel because nervousness is often attached to excitement. It can also be attached to fear. And so if you give yourself permission to add the excitement to it, it shifts the energy.

Also, when I'm saying that, I feel really strong like I feel in my power. I feel it in my body. So give yourself permission to change the narrative in your brain so you start shaping your own reality into the reality that you truly want.

And once you shift the mantra or the statement or the thought or the message that you've been taking on, then you choose a different feeling. I recommend saying that thought over and over and over and over and over to yourself as often as possible.

Now, with that being said, you're like, "how long Amy, like, how long do I actually tell myself these thoughts?" or "How long do I say this particular mantra?" And I call these mantras like, if you're going to repeat something over and over and over and over and over to yourself, it's a mantra, prayer, and be consistent with saying it.

And for me, like I had a money mantra that I would say over and over and over to myself for years, absolutely years. And this particular mantra ended up helping me to create my business because the mantra would be money flows to me easily and effortlessly. I've created the perfect business for myself. And this particular mantra covered two things: one, my fear of not making enough money, and two, my fear of not being able to know how to start my business or create my business or where to go about my business and just any fear that was related to my business and money as well.

And I would say this mantra over and over and over and over and over again, and I would just repeat it to myself on my way to work, on my way home from work. Any time I felt any ping of fear coming up around money, I would just say to myself and the more that I said it, the more it allowed me to send a signal out into the universe that said, Hey, I am so serious about this. Please send me these things. Please send me these experiences. Please reinforce this thought. Please reinforce this energy. And the universe just did.

It started delivering things to me so that I could start shaping that reality. And I want to encourage you to do the same thing.

So it's three C's and an F. Catch your thoughts. Feel your feelings. Cancel the thought and then choose a different thought. And most importantly, believe that it's possible. Believe that it's possible. And if you don't believe that, it's possible. Look at the thoughts or the messages around that belief. Because it's going to be the same exercise. And the more that you pay attention to your thoughts, the easier it's going to become.

Also, one of the other tips I want to give to you before we hop off today, is that I will also take time to be the observer of my thoughts.

And for me, this is done in the shower. I will give myself full permission to just observe my thoughts in the shower. And while I'm doing this, I notice all sorts of crazy things that my brain is thinking about because we have tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of thoughts that are happening in our brain all throughout the day. And most of them we don't even observe. And so what I like to do is I like to sit and just observe my thoughts for just a brief moment.

And I'll notice like, Oh, I didn't know I was thinking about that. Or, Oh, that's interesting. Or oooo I should meditate on that a little bit more. It's a really interesting exercise to see where you are at and what can be shifted and what can be nurtured and what can be changed.

You are a very powerful being and you deserve to live heaven on earth in this lifetime. So take the time to witness yourself. Take the time to be the observer of your thoughts so you can start shaping the reality you truly desire and want.
